About this Senior AQA Engineer role at Logifuture
We are seeking a skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer With 5+ years of experience to join our Gaming Hub team. This role focuses on backend and API testing for player-facing platform services in an iGaming environment. You will design, develop and own automated test solutions that ensure reliable, secure and performant backend systems. Experience in iGaming (or similar real-time/transactional domains) is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts focused on backend services and APIs.
- Identify and prioritise test cases for automation (smoke, regression, integration, contract and non-functional).
- Build and maintain automated API tests, contract tests and integration test suites for microservices and platform components.
- Develop and run performance, load, stress and stability tests; analyse results and drive remediation with engineering teams.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and gating flows; own flakiness reduction and test reliability; and be responsible for test outcome reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Work closely with developers, SREs and product to reproduce, triage and resolve issues; drive observability improvements to aid root-cause analysis.
- Define and maintain test data and environment strategies (sandbox tenants, testing flags, user configuration profiles).
- Participate in design refinements, feature planning, team ceremonies and product releases.
- Mentor and collaborate with QA peers to raise automation maturity and testing practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience with automation frameworks and tools for backend/API testing (examples: pytest, Postman/Newman, Cypress, Playwright).
- Proficient in one or more programming languages used for automation: Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs, including contract/schema validation and end-to-end integration testing.
- Familiarity with service virtualisation / mocking tools and containerised test environments; basic knowledge of orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Hands-on with CI/CD (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar) and automation integration into pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software testing best practices and methodologies (including test design, flaky test mitigation, CI gating).
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, New Relic) to validate behaviour in staging/production.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills; fluency in English (written & verbal).
- Experience designing and executing performance/load tests (k6, JMeter, Locust, or similar).
