The Opportunity

What You'll Do
Drive Tier-1 Media Coverage
- Build and maintain deep relationships with senior journalists, editors, and producers at leading business and technology outlets—including print, digital, and broadcast—across the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Forbes, Fortune, CNBC, and sector-specific technology and insurtech media.
- Pitch and land feature articles, executive interviews, bylines, and well-placed quotes that position Shift as an essential voice in the AI and insurance transformation narrative.
- Develop compelling, news-driven story angles that resonate beyond the insurance vertical and into mainstream business and technology conversations.
- Manage all aspects of media relations, including rapid-response to breaking news, proactive pitching, and crisis communications preparedness.
Elevate CEO Visibility & Thought Leadership
- Own the CEO's communications platform end-to-end: develop speeches, keynote presentations, talking points, op-eds, and LinkedIn content that establish a distinct, compelling executive voice.
- Secure high-profile speaking opportunities at premier AI, insurtech, and investor conferences—including Davos-tier business forums, major technology summits, and industry flagship events.
- Prepare the CEO for media appearances, panel discussions, podcast interviews, and analyst briefings, ensuring every interaction reinforces Shift's strategic narrative.
- Build and manage relationships with event organizers, conference program committees, and industry organizations to ensure Shift's leadership is consistently represented on the most prestigious stages.
Shape Shift's Strategic Narrative
- Develop and continuously refine Shift's corporate communications strategy, messaging architecture, and brand narrative in close partnership with the CMO and CEO.
- Translate complex AI and insurance technology concepts into accessible, persuasive stories for diverse audiences—including business press, investors, partners, and customers.
- Collaborate across marketing, product, sales, and leadership to ensure a consistent, differentiated voice across all external channels.
- Monitor the competitive communications landscape and identify opportunities to seize narrative ground and inject Shift into key industry conversations.
Operate at the Executive Level
- Engage comfortably and credibly with Shift's Board of Directors, C-suite, strategic customers, and investor community—advising on communications strategy and representing the company externally when appropriate.
- Partner directly with the CMO on enterprise-wide communications priorities, budget, agency relationships, and team development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and communications counselor to senior leadership on high-stakes announcements, market positioning, and reputational matters.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive communications experience, with meaningful time in senior roles at a high-growth technology company, global PR agency serving tech clients, or both.
- A verifiable track record of securing feature coverage and prominent placement in tier-1 business and technology media—not just industry trade press.
- Proven ability to develop CEOs and senior executives as media figures and thought leaders, including speech and presentation development, media training, and conference positioning.
- A robust, active network of journalist, editor, and producer relationships at top-tier media outlets.
- Demonstrated success securing executive speaking slots at leading, high-profile industry conferences in AI, enterprise technology, financial services, or insurance.
- Exceptional writing skills—the ability to craft compelling narratives, speeches, op-eds, briefing documents, and messaging frameworks with minimal direction.
- Experience operating at the executive level, including advising C-suite and Board stakeholders and managing sensitive communications with discretion.
Strongly Preferred
- Background in or deep familiarity with AI, machine learning, insurtech, or enterprise SaaS—enough to credibly represent Shift's technology and market position.
- Experience navigating international or multi-market communications, given Shift's global footprint.
- Track record working with companies at scale-up or growth stage—motivated, entrepreneurial , resourceful, and adept at driving outsized impact with focused resources.
- Existing relationships with organizers of marquee AI and insurtech conferences (e.g., Money20/20, InsureTech Connect, AI Summit, Davos forums).

ROOM42, Real Chemistry’s in-house production company, is hiring an experienced Audio Production Lead to join our in-house production team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in sound editing and mixing. Should be familiar with audio post-production workflows - sound design and mixing for film and video, as well as podcast production. Also be comfortable leading remote recording sessions, directing talent and managing communication between team members. A requirement of this role is to have a strong interest and expertise in generative AI software and workflows related to the audio production industry.
Senior Producers are responsible for the execution of all work that flows through the agency. We are creative partners, financial leads, and chief organizers. The right person for this job will be highly organized, with great attention to detail. Able to make proactive suggestions for improvements and not be afraid to contribute.

We identify high-value sites, work with landowners and local communities to develop them, and partner with long-term asset owners to bring the most impactful clean energy projects to life.
This is a role for a deal junkie that didn’t think real deal work happened in house.
New Leaf Energy, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Counsel, Transactions to support our project development business and soon-to-be formed independent power producer (IPP). This position reports to the Deputy General Counsel.
This position may be filled out of our Boston, MA, Lowell, MA, Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA, and Troy, NY offices. We value in-person collaboration and offer a hybrid work environment. Hybrid employees work in the office at least two out of every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and are free to work from the office or home on other days.
Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Independently counsel and advise M&A team on structuring transactions to acquire and dispose of renewable energy assets.
- Independently draft, review and negotiate membership interest purchase agreements (MIPAs), asset purchase agreements (APAs), and ancillary documents for the acquisition and disposition of renewable energy projects.
- Proactively and independently identify, counsel and advise New Leaf with respect to the risks arising in connection with purchase and sale transactions. Develop and effectively implement plans for mitigating such risks.
- Effectively collaborate with, counsel and advise cross-functional stakeholders (including legal, real estate, project development, M&A, the IPP, interconnection, and policy) on matters relating to purchase and sale transactions and the related financing facilities.
- Proactively and independently identify, design, implement and modify measures to improve the quality and efficiency of New Leaf’s tools and processes relating to due diligence, negotiation, financing, and closing of renewable energy transactions. Draft, update, and maintain template documents and standard operating procedures.
- Independently draft, review and negotiate other commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other offtake agreements, interconnection agreements, community solar and other subscriber agreements, and operation and maintenance agreements.
- Provide legal support and assist with various other matters relating to the origination, acquisition, sale, financing, ownership, and operation of renewable energy projects.
- Effective cross-team collaboration and coordination of legal workload with colleagues.
- Supervise and optimize work between in house and outside counsel as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications:
While no individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes. - Law degree and strong academic record from a leading ABA accredited law school.

- Ability to independently structure, draft, review and negotiate other project/commercial contracts.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-lawyers.
- Refined business acumen, exceptional judgment, and the ability to identify and implement practical solutions to complex business and legal problems.

Compensation
New Leaf Energy compensates all employees in three ways: market-competitive base salary, plus above-market variable compensation, plus an equity-like program such that all employees experience the benefits of ownership. We use a data-driven and transparent methodology to calibrate compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable, guided by the New Leaf Energy compensation manual, which is available to all employees.
Under our compensation framework, the likely base salary range for this position in Troy is $189,416 - $218,887. The on-target annual cash bonus associated with this position is an additional 20% percent of base salary. Your actual salary may be above, in, or below this range, depending on your location and experience. Our office locations in Lowell, Boston, Oakland, and Chicago all carry geography-based upward adjustments to the base pay range.

This position may be filled out of our Boston, MA, Lowell, MA, Chicago, IL, Oakland, CA, and Troy, NY offices. We value in-person collaboration and offer a hybrid work environment. Hybrid employees work in the office at least two out of every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and are free to work from the office or home on other days.
Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Independently counsel and advise M&A team on structuring transactions to acquire and dispose of renewable energy assets.
- Independently draft, review and negotiate membership interest purchase agreements (MIPAs), asset purchase agreements (APAs), and ancillary documents for the acquisition and disposition of renewable energy projects.
- Proactively and independently identify, counsel and advise New Leaf with respect to the risks arising in connection with purchase and sale transactions. Develop and effectively implement plans for mitigating such risks.
- Effectively collaborate with, counsel and advise cross-functional stakeholders (including legal, real estate, project development, M&A, the IPP, interconnection, and policy) on matters relating to purchase and sale transactions and the related financing facilities.
- Proactively and independently identify, design, implement and modify measures to improve the quality and efficiency of New Leaf’s tools and processes relating to due diligence, negotiation, financing, and closing of renewable energy transactions. Draft, update, and maintain template documents and standard operating procedures.
- Independently draft, review and negotiate other commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs) and other offtake agreements, interconnection agreements, community solar and other subscriber agreements, and operation and maintenance agreements.
- Provide legal support and assist with various other matters relating to the origination, acquisition, sale, financing, ownership, and operation of renewable energy projects.
- Effective cross-team collaboration and coordination of legal workload with colleagues.
- Supervise and optimize work between in house and outside counsel as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation
New Leaf Energy compensates all employees in three ways: market-competitive base salary, plus above-market variable compensation, plus an equity-like program such that all employees experience the benefits of ownership. We use a data-driven and transparent methodology to calibrate compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable, guided by the New Leaf Energy compensation manual, which is available to all employees.
Under our compensation framework, the likely base salary range for this position in Oakland is $222,753 - $257,411. The on-target annual cash bonus associated with this position is an additional 20% percent of base salary. Your actual salary may be above, in, or below this range, depending on your location and experience. Our office locations in Lowell, Boston, Oakland, and Chicago all carry geography-based upward adjustments to the base pay range.

617MediaGroup, one of the fastest-growing progressive communications firms in the U.S., is seeking videography and photography freelancers in the Boston area to work with us on an as-needed basis on a variety of projects.
The ideal candidates will have photography and location videography skills for on-location assignments in addition to editing experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years of professional post-production experience
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere and the Creative Suite workflow
- High level of proficiency in crafting narrative arcs with interview-based material
- Self-directing, independent ability to carry a script and material into completed content
- Takes feedback well from team to deliver content according to agency/client need
- Up to date with the latest aesthetic trends in social media, digital, and TV advertising content
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field photography experience—especially with events and portraits, natural lighting, and flash photography experience
- Field videography experience—event capture and unscripted live-action coverage, framing and lighting for interviews, and high-fidelity audio recording
A valid driver’s license and a purchased or leased automobile with a valid inspection sticker for personal transportation to and from the office as well as work events is required.
