Position Overview

The Data Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating a cloud-native data platform built on Snowflake and public cloud infrastructure. This role owns the full lifecycle of the data platform — from cloud environment provisioning and data lake architecture to transformation pipelines, security enforcement, and data sharing — enabling reliable, governed, and scalable data access across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision and manage cloud environments including storage, networking, and IAM across public cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).

• Architect and administer Snowflake as the organization's unified Data Lake and Data Warehouse platform.

• Define and enforce Data Access Policies with encryption, IAM, and Snowflake network policies.

• Build and maintain dbt transformation models with Git-based version control across staging and production data layers.

• Define platform standards, and best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), covering storage, networking, and IAM.

• Strong Snowflake administration skills including RBAC design, Data Sharing, external tables, and Snowpark.

• Proficiency in dbt (Core or Cloud) for model development, testing, and documentation.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling such as Terraform for cloud resource provisioning.

• Experience with pipeline orchestration using Snowflake Scheduling, Apache Airflow, or equivalent tools. 

Scope of Ownership

• Responsible for the end-to-end design, provisioning, and operation of the cloud data platform — spanning raw ingestion zones through to curated, analytics-ready data layers — ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency across all environments.

• Maintains overall responsibility for the unified data warehouse and lake platform architecture, including performance tuning, resource management, cost governance, and the evolution of the platform as organizational data needs grow.

• Owns the transformation layer from design through to production, ensuring data models, testing frameworks, and documentation are accurate, consistent, and fit for consumption across all downstream use cases.

• Drives the definition and adoption of platform-wide standards covering data ingestion, transformation, and consumption patterns, and evaluates tooling and architectural decisions as the platform matures.

About the job 

We are looking for a mid-level SRE to help manage and improve our cloud infrastructure and production environment. This role will be responsible for supporting deployments, monitoring production systems, responding to incidents, and helping teams maintain stable and cost-efficient operations.

In this role, you will get to:

• Support deployments and maintain production environments across cloud infrastructure and applications

• Experience with scripting or automation using Python
• Experience working with GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines

The Opportunity:

This role is for an experienced backend engineer to design, build, and operate our StarRocks-based analytics platform. You’ll drive scalable, low‑latency analytical services with high concurrency and sub‑second query performance, while extending StarRocks capabilities and improving platform reliability and efficiency. The scope is open from Senior through Principal, depending on impact and leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, implement, and operate StarRocks clusters to support high concurrency and sub‑second analytical queries at scale.
• Plan and execute StarRocks upgrades and patch rollouts with minimal downtime (canary/blue‑green), including compatibility validation, regression testing, and rollback plans.
• Develop features, extensions, and performance improvements to increase StarRocks stability and throughput; contribute upstream when broadly useful.
• Build backend services and tooling around StarRocks for ingestion, connectors, governance, and observability.
• Optimize query performance using materialized views, partitioning, statistics, and resource groups; make cost/performance trade‑offs.

• Hands-on experience with at least one MPP/OLAP system such as StarRocks, ClickHouse, Presto/Trino, Druid, Pinot, Doris, Impala, etc.
• Practical expertise in query tuning and columnar analytics concepts (e.g., vectorized execution, statistics, cost-based optimization).

Overview

We're looking to hire for our Data side of our AI team at Speechify. This role is responsible for all aspects of data collection to support our model training operations. We are able to build high-quality datasets at petabyte-scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research work. What You’ll Do

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate closely with our Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier, delivering richer data at bigger scale and lower cost to power our next-generation models.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and professional experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (we use GCP)

• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP is a plus).

• Good understanding of IT security standards, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements in a regulated environment.

aCommerce Data Engineer will be responsible for building, optimizing and maintaining robust data pipelines as well as designing meaningful data models in our Data Platform for analysts to serve key business purposes as a Data-Driven company.

A successful candidate will be working with our cloud-based Big Data Platform to digest marketplace data either structured or unstructured from different marketplaces in order to facilitate data utilization. The candidate will have to design and implement a strategic way to utilize all the data extracted from several marketplaces.

The candidate will be also working closely with other application teams and product managers in order to align with other teams and business roadmap.

Duties and responsibilities

● Design and develop software for managing various forms of supply chain and ecommerce
applications. This includes order workflows and inventory related to the sale of goods on e-
commerce sites and shopping channels.
● Design and implement real-time API, asynchronous process, and batch processes for integrating
with external systems.
● Works closely with other team members in a scaled agile development team. Actively
recommend improvements to support aCommerce being a learning organization
● Troubleshoot system and processing failure providing both work-arounds and root cause
analysis to permanently address the issue
● Deploy into and operate large-scale, cloud based distributed systems.
● Develop unit testing, automated functional testing and load testing for improving system
reliability and performance.

Capabilities

• At least 5 years of experience working software engineering, software integration or other
  similar roles
• Experience in Python preferred, but we are willing to train. Experience in at least two
  programming languages such as Java, C++ or Ruby is required if the candidate does not have
  prior Python experience.
• Experience with SQL and/or NOSQL databases is required.
• Experience working with a Message Broker (i.e., RabbitMQ, JMS, Kafka) is required.
• Experience with Javascript and Front End frameworks is required.
• Experience with in-memory data stores such as Redis is preferred
• Strong knowledge and background of Software Development Life Cycle activities (Design,
  Implementation, Code Review, Unit Testing, Debugging, and Release) with experience in agile

• Awareness of the demands of building cloud-based applications required. Experience of
  developing and running applications in a Kubernetes ecosystem preferred
• Experience using Unit Test frameworks is required.
• Experience with automated testing technologies like Selenium, Robot Framework, or Cucumber
  is a nice plus.
• Strong analytical and problem skills as well as an attention to details
