How you'll help us achieve it
Wave is now the largest financial institution in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, with millions of users, growing rapidly year on year. And, we’re still in the early days of our product roadmap and potential impact on people’s everyday lives.
We are looking for a Country Growth Operations Lead who will be based in one of our early-stage countries in West Africa, who will lead our efforts to expand our user base and manage user acquisition strategies in the allocated countries. This role involves leading both user growth operations and agent operations/agent liquidity to help grow a market from an early stage to 1 million monthly active users.
The Country Growth Ops Lead will report to the Head of Scaling Operations and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Country General Manager/Director of Operations.
In this role, you'll;
- Drive user growth by optimizing distribution strategies and leading user acquisition initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership and country teams to ensure alignment and maximize growth opportunities.
- Enhance distribution processes through partnership with product and engineering teams, leveraging technology and data.
- Oversee agent network operations, including acquisition, setup, and liquidity management, to support distribution and meet user demand.
- Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Manage business and financial KPIs in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Champion Wave's values, leading by example and embedding them within the team culture.
Key Details
- Location: At one of our early-stage countries in Africa, with a focus on West Africa. You must be willing to relocate to the primary growth country for up to one year, with periodic returns home after each trimester.
- Travel: Anticipated travel requirements of 60-80% within a designated, growth-focused market.

Requirements
- 8+ years of senior leadership experience in user acquisition/agent operations and liquidity management within mobile money, finance, fintech, telecoms, or tech.
- Language: Bilingual proficiency is mandatory, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Enhanced interpersonal skills in building and maintaining positive relationships, effective communication, active listening, and conflict resolution.
- Proven sales ability with a successful track record in sales, including identifying customer needs and connecting corridors.

How you'll help us achieve it

The Product Relations Manager (PRM) owns the product and technical dimension of our external partner integrations. You are the bridge between our partners and our product and engineering teams, responsible for evaluating, shaping, shipping, and maintaining the integrations that power our ecosystem.
In this role, you'll;
- Relentlessly build partner relationships and drive integrations end-to-end, from scoping through development, testing, and production launch to owning every blocker until it ships.
- Evaluate prospective partners' technical readiness and provide clear go/no-go recommendations before contracts are signed.
- Lead technical scoping with partners and translate requirements into specifications engineering can build against.
- Hold partners accountable for delivery and escalate firmly when things stall.
- Monitor integration health post-launch and drive resolution when performance degrades.
- Identify opportunities to expand or deepen existing partnerships.
- Make build-vs-buy and direct-vs-aggregator decisions grounded in data and strategic context.
- Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Support, and Partner Operations to deliver and maintain integrations.
- Use transaction data and operational metrics to inform prioritization and decision-making.
- Contribute to standardizing integration processes and playbooks across markets.

Requirements
- 4–7 years in product management, technical partnerships, or integration management within fintech, mobile money, digital payments, or telecommunications.
- Technical fluency: comfortable reviewing API docs (REST, SOAP, webhooks), discussing VPN setups, evaluating timeout configurations, and holding your own with engineers and partner technical teams.
- Commercial awareness: you understand how integrations drive transaction volume, revenue, and user value and can evaluate whether one is worth building.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder integrations involving banks, telcos, utility companies, or government agencies.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills ,you can push back on partners, escalate when needed, and keep the relationship intact.
- Excellent communication in both French and English (written and spoken).
- Data-driven decision-making: you use metrics to inform priorities, not just instinct.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.

About You and The Role
Zipline’s long-range autonomous drone system is already delivering millions of medical products across Africa, and as we scale, we’re establishing new distribution centers – the backbone of our operation. Each launch is a complex, multi-stakeholder effort requiring rigorous project management, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on leadership at the country level. We’re looking for a Deployments Project Manager to own local planning and execution of these rollouts. You’ll lead everything from site acquisition and permitting to construction, vendor management, and operational handover, coordinating across internal and external stakeholders to deliver sites that meet Zipline’s technical, safety, and performance standards. This is a highly visible role for a resourceful, technically savvy project manager who is eager to shape Zipline’s growing footprint and deliver lasting impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead local deployment planning and execution for new distribution centers, owning the project end-to-end from site selection through operational launch.
- Work with real estate vendors and local authorities to identify and secure sites that meet Zipline’s technical and business criteria.
- Partner with Procurement and Engineering to identify, qualify, and select contractors and vendors through rigorous evaluation processes.
- Oversee site preparation and buildout, including workforce mobilization, civil works, hardware installation, and operational readiness, ensuring all timelines and quality benchmarks are met.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to the site.
- Own and manage the project budget, tracking expenditures, anticipating risks, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Track KPIs and report progress weekly to country and Africa leadership, highlighting successes, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute process improvements to Zipline’s global deployment playbook to accelerate future rollouts.
What You’ll Bring
- A background in construction project management, civil works, engineering, or operations program management.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects with significant technical and operational components.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects under tight timelines and budgets.
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and vendors, including technical evaluation and quality assurance.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across different functions, levels, and geographies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to report clearly and confidently to leadership.
- Grit, adaptability, and resilience to thrive in uncertain, constantly changing conditions
- Must be bilingual in English and French, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
This role will be based in-country with extensive on-site presence required throughout the deployment period. Must be eligible to work in-country and commit to travel and frequent field-based work.
