About this UI Designer - Design Systems role at Haus
Haus is seeking a UI Designer to join our Los Angeles team. In this role, you will build and maintain high-fidelity design system components in Figma, translating system logic into polished, reusable, and on-brand UI elements. You will report to the Creative Director and partner closely with UX Designers to ensure every component is well-crafted visually and structurally sound.
Requirements
What you'll do
- Build and maintain high-fidelity UI components in Figma leveraging best practices: auto layout, variants, components, etc.
- Manage and update design token architecture to support seamless theming and platform scaling
- Organize and maintain icon libraries, illustration sets, and other shared visual assets
- Support accessibility checks on components, particularly around color contrast, legibility and visual hierarchy
- Draft release notes and change logs summarizing what's new, changed, or deprecated with each system update
- Support visual QA of engineering implementations against Figma source files
What you bring
- 3+ years of user interface design experience with deep understanding of component libraries and design systems
- Expert-level Figma skills, including auto layout, variants, components and tokens
- Strong visual design fundamentals in typography, color, spacing, and layout
- Familiarity with design token architecture and how tokens map across themes and platforms
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (contrast ratios, touch target sizing)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

The estimated compensation for this position is $85K–$115K per year depending on experience, plus a 401k, medical, dental, vision, life and optional benefits, paid time off, fun events and more.
