As a Trainee Dispensing Assistant, you'll receive full training while supporting our Clinical Operations team in a busy, fast-paced dispensing environment. You'll learn every stage of the dispensing process, including supporting the end-to-end FP10 prescription journey, working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals and developing the skills needed for a long-term career in pharmacy.

What you'll be doing
- Learn and support the end-to-end FP10 prescription journey, from receipt through to dispensing and claiming.
- Assist with the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
- Support the Clinical team with day-to-day operational activities.
- Follow Pharmacy2U dispensing procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure prescriptions are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Take ownership of prescription labelling and accuracy.
- Work closely with Pharmacists, Customer Services, Purchasing and Operations teams.
- Meet individual and team productivity targets.
- Maintain compliance with legal, ethical and professional pharmacy standards.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment while always putting patients first.
Who are we looking for?
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in pharmacy. No previous dispensing qualification is required, as we'll provide the training and support needed to gain your NVQ Level 2.
We're looking for someone who has:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to organise and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn.
- Experience working in a busy or target-driven environment would be advantageous.
- A strong team ethic while also being confident working independently.
- A patient-first approach and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
