About this Technical Program Manager role at Cato Networks
Welcome to the future of cloud networking and security!
Cato Networks is the first company to converge enterprise networking and security into one centralized and global service that is delivered by cloud. It is led by networking and security pioneer Shlomo Kramer (Check Point, Imperva) and early investor (Palo Alto Networks, Exabeam, Trusteer and more). Cato’s unique technology inspired a brand-new product category, later named “SASE” by Gartner and a market expected to reach $28.5 billion by 2028.
This is your opportunity to get on the rocket ship and join a company that is building a cutting-edge enterprise network and secure cloud platform, and is on a fast track to becoming the worldwide market leader – don’t miss it!
Cato Networks is looking for a Technical Program Lead to join the Cato team.
In this role, you will drive execution across multiple concurrent programs spanning Engineering, Product, and QA. You will own the big picture across a portfolio of initiatives in different stages, while diving deep into technical details when delivery is at risk. You will act as a trusted extension of R&D leadership — challenging plans, unblocking execution, and making judgment calls that keep programs moving.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple cross-team programs — plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions
- Deep-dive into technical blockers and design discussions; challenge assumptions and drive creative paths to unblock execution
- Push execution forward — constructively confront Engineering and Product when scope, timelines, or quality are at risk
- Act as a stand-in for R&D leadership: represent priorities, drive alignment, and make calls independently
- Provide sharp, exception-based visibility to stakeholders — surfacing what matters, not reporting for its own sake
- Improve velocity and quality by introducing lightweight execution mechanisms — and removing processes and meetings that don't add value
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software R&D, including 3+ years leading an Engineering or QA group (team lead / group manager level) — Must
- Strong hands-on technical background — able to credibly engage in architecture, design, and quality discussions and challenge technical claims — Must
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-team programs end-to-end in a product company
- Strong ownership and decision-making under ambiguity — accountable for outcomes, not coordination
- Direct, assertive communicator with the ability to build trust quickly across senior engineering and product leaders
- Experience in SaaS/Cloud development environments — Must
- Advantage: background in network security products
