Job Purpose:
The Site Security Manager (SSM) is responsible for the management of all static guard and the implementation of all security SOPs pertaining to static operations. Oversees all security provisions and requirements in support of Company and Company employees and operations are met on a daily and as-required basis. Ensures static operations are conducted in accordance with Iraqi government, client and Control Risks directives and procedures.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Carry out all duties in support of the contractor PSM/SM.
- Manage all Static Guard personnel.
- Responsible for the readiness and deployment of the static guard force.
- Oversee and co-ordinate all Static Guard activities in support of the company operations on a daily and “as required”
- Maintain constant communications with the SCCC.
- Ensure that full training and personnel records are maintained for all Static Guard personnel.
- Respond to emergency calls and tasks as required.
- Ensure that all Static Guard rotational leave and sick patterns are implemented.
- Develop reporting procedures for security incidents in line with company requirements.
- Overall management of site security and safety systems to identify any deficiencies.
- Participate in and coordinate the security response to emergency calls.
- Provision of assistance and support to the APT as required.
- Ensuring assessment and accurate maintenance of records on the training database and producing reports as directed in the training directive.

Requirements
Knowledge and experience:
Essential
- 6 years cumulative military/police service or equivalent commercial security and risk management experience.
- 2 years previous experience of working in Iraq for a MOI registered PSC.
- Demonstrated competence over a minimum of 1 year in a previous PSC operations management role.
- Attended and passed an internationally regarded military Non-Commissioned Officer or similar organizational command and leadership course, such as the British Army Platoon Sergeants Battle Course (or higher).
Preferred
- Operational APT experience in Iraq or similar environment
- Security and Risk Management qualification
- Knowledge of and exposure to oil and gas sector
