Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Consultant who can design, build, support, and improve enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate should be strong in SAP BW 7.0, BW-ABAP, BW on HANA and SAP HANA reporting, data modeling, performance tuning, and production support. This role requires hands-on technical ownership, close collaboration with business users, and the ability to deliver reliable reporting solutions in a global support environment.

Must Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP BW, BW on HANA, BW/4HANA, and BW-ABAP
• Good knowledge of BW data models, including DSO, ADSO, InfoCube, MultiProvider, Composite Provider, InfoObject, Transformations, DTPs, and Process Chains
• Experience creating and enhancing BEx Queries, restricted key figures, calculated key figures, variables, and reporting structures
• Ability to extract data from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, flat files, Excel, and other source systems
• Experience with Data load monitoring, Error handling, Reconciliation, Issue fixing, and Performance Improvement
• Strong understanding of Change requests, Incident management, Enhancement Delivery, and Documentation
• Ability to write and debug ABAP routines, Customer Exits, Start Routines, End Routines, and Expert Routines in SAP BW

Core Responsibilities

• Create and maintain SAP BW Data models and Reports
• Build Data Extraction, Transformation, and Reporting Logic
• Support Data Loads, Issue Resolution, and Performance Tuning
• Manage Enhancements, Change Requests
• Work with business teams to convert Reporting needs into SAP BW Solutions
• Prepare technical design documents, support handover documents, deployment notes, and knowledge transition materials
• Participate in requirement discussions, impact analysis, unit testing, UAT support, and production deployment activities
• Should have excellent communication skills.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud, or other reporting tools
• Basic understanding of Finance, Controlling, Inventory, Procurement, Sales and Distribution, or Supply Chain modules
• Exposure to SAP HANA modeling, CDS Views, AMDP, SQLScript, or native HANA development
• Understanding of data governance, security, authorization, and reporting compliance

Expectations

• Must be a strong Hands-on SAP BW expert; this is not a coordination-only role
• Experience in Support, Enhancements, and Development
• Ability to handle reporting issues and stakeholder requests independently
• Comfortable working in Global support and reporting environments
• Experience building and managing SAP BW/4HANA data models, including InfoProviders, Composite Providers, and BEx Queries
• Ensure Data integration, Security, and Good performance across reporting layers
• Communicate clearly with business users, functional consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders

 

Required Candidate Profile

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in SAP BW reporting, support, enhancement, and implementation projects
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze reporting issues, identify root causes, and provide long-term fixes
• Ability to work independently as a senior consultant and guide junior team members when needed
• Good communication skills for working with global business and IT teams
• Comfortable working in production support, enhancement delivery, and fast-paced project environments
