Job Summary

The Sales Manager is a selling leader responsible for driving sales performance, coaching field sales teams, and leading market execution within an assigned market. This role balances direct selling responsibilities with people leadership and is accountable for both individual production and overall team performance.

The Sales Manager plays a critical role in developing high-performing Sales Consultants, improving the customer experience, reinforcing accountability, and driving revenue growth while ensuring alignment with Statewide Remodeling's sales strategy and operational objectives.

Basic Functions of this Position

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Sales Consultants and Assistant Sales Managers.

  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, in-field coaching, and post-appointment reviews to improve sales effectiveness.

  • Drive key performance metrics including demo rate, net close percentage (NCP), NSLI, revenue per demo, appointment volume, and cancellation rates.

  • Set the standard for selling excellence through personal production and leadership visibility.

  • Meet with homeowners to present remodeling solutions, provide estimates, and close sales opportunities.

  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop top-performing sales talent.

  • Identify performance gaps and implement coaching plans, accountability measures, and development strategies.

  • Partner with Retail Marketing, Call Center, Operations, and Production teams to improve lead quality and customer experience.

  • Analyze sales reports, productivity trends, and operational data to identify opportunities for increased performance and profitability.

  • Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and overall market execution.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, urgency, professionalism, and customer-first service.

Qualifications

To effectively perform the duties of this position, individuals must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proven experience leading commissioned sales teams.

  • Experience with in-home sales, outside sales, or business-to-consumer sales preferred.

  • Experience managing large sales organizations in commission-based environments.

  • Ability to analyze sales performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience in home improvement, remodeling, construction, or a related industry is preferred.

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Success Metrics

Success in this role is measured by:

  • Achievement of sales and revenue goals.

  • Improvement in demo rate, NCP, NSLI, revenue per demo, and appointment conversion.

  • Sales team productivity, retention, and development.

  • Customer satisfaction and reduced cancellation rates.

  • Consistent execution of Statewide Remodeling's sales methodology and operational standards.

Computer Skills

To perform this role successfully, candidates should have experience with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn business applications including:

  • Salesforce

  • Lead Perfection

  • ADP

  • Other business software used to support sales operations

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

This is a dynamic leadership position requiring both office and field responsibilities.

  • Frequent travel within the assigned market.

  • Regular in-home customer appointments.

  • Frequent standing, walking, and driving.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of materials or equipment.

  • Operate computers, mobile devices, and other standard office equipment.

Travel

Regular local travel is required for:

  • Ride-alongs

  • Field coaching

  • Customer appointments

  • Recruiting activities

  • Leadership meetings

  • Training sessions

Job Classification

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Salary and benefits are administered in accordance with Renuity compensation and benefits policies. Additional incentive compensation may be available based on company sales plans.
