About this Operations Associate, Baltimore role at Techstars
The Operations Associate role is responsible for administrative duties and supports operational execution throughout the duration of the Techstars Baltimore accelerator program. You will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Techstars program and ensure that all needs of the program and its cohort are met.
There’s no job too big or too small; you’ll work closely in partnership with the program team to build an incredible experience for founders. Logistics experience as well as familiarity with the early stage startup ecosystem is preferred. A willingness to learn, comfort tackling new problems, and ability to execute is a must. You’ll need to be flexible and willing and able to pitch in with whatever unforeseen needs the program team and founders may have.
This is a temporary with the Techstars Baltimore team from August - December, 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Engage with Techstars founders and plan activities, meetings and events that drive them toward success
- Execute program operations, including but not limited to supporting scheduling and coordinating with speakers, logistics for in person programming, placing and managing orders for materials, etc.
- Coordinate the scheduling of mentors and manage the mentor-founder matching process
- Follow best practices and execute upon outlined content and curriculum of the program
- Support with event planning and own operational aspects of executing events, including our in person program trips and end of program Demo Day event
- Manage social media pages for program (LinkedIn) by posting program updates and highlighting founder successes during program
- Occasionally support the Managing Director with special projects, including but not limited to, sending investor network communications, and supporting founders with business development
- Represent Techstars in the local community, both actively and passively
Qualifications
- 1-3 years in fast-paced project or program management focused position
- Strong interest in the discourse around technology, startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital
- Proven attention to detail through prior work or life experience
- Experience in event planning and event logistics
- Comfortable with a variety of responsibilities
- Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction but high expectations
- Fits the Techstars culture (people-oriented, adaptable, supportive, creative)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Currently live in Baltimore area

Compensation
- $3,000 - $3,500 USD per month
