About the Role
As a Pulmonary Advanced Practice Provider, you'll provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions. Working closely with board-certified pulmonologists, you'll evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, interpret diagnostic testing, educate patients on disease management, and help improve long-term respiratory health.
This role is ideal for providers who enjoy developing long-term patient relationships while practicing evidence-based medicine in a collaborative specialty setting.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pulmonary conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary nodules, and other respiratory disorders
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory studies, imaging, and pulmonary diagnostic testing
- Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe appropriate medications
- Educate patients on disease management, medications, smoking cessation, and lifestyle modifications
- Monitor treatment response and coordinate ongoing follow-up care
- Collaborate with pulmonologists, Advanced Practice Providers, respiratory therapists, and clinical staff
- Participate in pulmonary rehabilitation, weight management, and other specialty clinic programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using AthenaOne EMR
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on improving long-term respiratory health

Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain before start)
- National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
- Previous experience in pulmonology, internal medicine, critical care, or hospital medicine
- New graduates with strong pulmonary, internal medicine, or critical care clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
