About this Manager, Sales (Outbound) role at Jobber
Are you a results-driven sales leader with a track record of personal and professional excellence?
Then Jobber might be the place for you! We're looking for a Manager, Outbound Sales to help us deliver on our Sales team's goals.
Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses - plumbers, painters, landscapers - to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber, they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy, professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn't like it used to be - the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That's why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want.
Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail's Canada's Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada's Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an executive team that has over thirty years of combined industry experience, we've come a long way from our first customer in 2011 - but we've just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.
The team:
Our Outbound Sales team is growing fast and we’re looking for the right person to join our team at this pivotal time. We run a cold outbound motion, with our SDR team booking meetings in tandem with our Outbound AEs to build pipeline. Our team gets to know who our customers are, what their businesses do, and how Jobber can help them succeed - turning leads into advocates.
Everyone on this team has an incredible passion for sales, our customers, and a connection to our purpose. We celebrate, motivate, and challenge each other daily, and we want to see each other succeed through regular 1:1s focused on performance, coaching, and long-term development - which is where this role comes in.
The role:
As Manager, Outbound Sales you'll lead and coach a team of up to 10 outbound account executives, reporting to the Senior Manager, Outbound Sales.
You'll draw on your outbound sales experience to drive performance - building and testing outreach strategies that grow pipeline, delivering world-class conversion rates throughout the sales process, and exceeding new customer and revenue targets.
Your coaching-first mentality and high standard of excellence and accountability will drive the performance, growth, and development of a rapidly growing team of sales professionals. You have a track record of personal and professional excellence, a commitment to lifelong learning, and you lead by example.
In this role, your time will be spent interviewing and hiring, building and testing outreach strategies, reviewing and coaching calls, developing your direct reports' skills, using data to identify trends, building growth and development plans, and holding your team accountable so no opportunity is overlooked. You'll also work closely with your co-managers, the SDR team, Enablement and RevOps to keep building a world-class sales organization.
As a Manager, Outbound Sales, you will:
Drive new customer and revenue growth by setting goals and exceeding team targets monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Demonstrate high sales acumen and mastery of your craft - through call reviews, role-plays, creating and delivering training, and demonstrating your own skills on the phone with customers.
Inspire your team to go above and beyond by helping them connect their personal goals to the company and team mission.
Lead weekly meetings and report on monthly/quarterly targets and key metrics, highlighting opportunities for improvement. You'll help build a sales culture that values feedback and is highly data-driven.
Build a "winning" sales process across our Outbound Team that meets the needs of home service business owners.
Analyze, communicate, and re-communicate on sales metrics and forecasting to understand whether initiatives and programs are working.
Attract, recruit, hire, and train highly motivated, mission-driven, customer-obsessed sales team members who help you deliver on your goals - especially as the team scales into the next fiscal year.
Collaborate with other sales leaders and cross-functional partners (SDR team, Sales Enablement, RevOps) to ensure campaigns, product launches, and customer initiatives roll out effectively, with focus and a high degree of alignment.
Become an ambassador of our culture by being humble, supportive, and someone who truly gives a shit.
To be successful in this position, you'll need:
A proven track record in sales management, ideally in a high-volume, SDR-supported outbound environment.
A track record of ambitious career growth, exceeding targets, and motivating others to do the same - to lead a team, you need to have done it yourself.
Experience in and a passion for driving outbound sales motions.
A strong ability to source, interpret, and analyze data, and use it to improve performance and results.
A commitment to coaching and development - the ability to identify strengths and opportunities in your team and know how to approach performance and development conversations.
Next-level communication and relationship-building skills. We move fast, which means you'll need to build a high degree of trust with peers and key stakeholders.
An incredible passion for sales, our customers, and our purpose - helping small businesses be more successful.
Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and Google Sheets, or comparable tools, for tracking and analyzing performance data.
Location:
We believe great collaboration is intentional, and sometimes that means coming together in person to build, brainstorm, and connect. To support this, the role is open to candidates based in one of our hub cities: Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo.
Compensation:
At Jobber, we believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and supportive of your experience and growth. This opportunity has a fixed compensation structure, meaning all employees come in at the exact same rate. It includes a base salary of $78,000 and a commission of $52,000, for an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $130,000. Our commission structure is uncapped and paid out quarterly, meaning there is potential to earn beyond the stated OTE.
This OTE is just one part of a total compensation package that will include equity rewards, annual stipends for health and wellness, retirement savings matching, and an extended health package with fully paid premiums for body and mind. As well, this role has clearly defined growth opportunities to deepen expertise, explore new roles, or step into leadership. You’ll have access to a dedicated talent development program that includes career coaching and opportunities for career development.
If you have any questions about our compensation approach, we encourage open conversations throughout the hiring process!
What you can expect from Jobber:

A dedicated Talent Development team and access to coaching, learning, and leadership programs to help you grow your career, reach your goals, and unlock your full potential.
A unique opportunity to build, grow, and leave your impact on a $400-billion industry that has no dominant player...yet.
To work with a group of people who are humble, supportive, and give a sh*t about our customers.
We believe that diverse teams perform better and that fostering an inclusive work environment is a key part of growing a successful team. We welcome people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to working with applicants requesting accommodation at any stage of the hiring process.
