Te Tūranga – About the role
We’re on the hunt for a self-motivated and keen Infrastructure Engineer to join the team. You will be working in a customer-focused, high-performing IT Operations function, keeping things ticking across our 2000+ servers! As an Infrastructure Engineer you will work alongside a strong team of Infrastructure Engineers as well as a range of stakeholders through the business.

What you’ll do

Act as the first point of contact for IT Infrastructure support, delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.

Administer, support, and maintain enterprise Infrastructure platforms, including Citrix, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, endpoint security, proxy services, email security, Commvault, SCCM, Acronis, and other core technologies.

Manage and prioritise the Infrastructure support queue, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLA and KPI targets.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure incidents and service requests in a timely and effective manner.

Escalate major incidents and high-priority issues as required to ensure prompt resolution and minimise business impact.

Contribute to end-to-end Infrastructure operational processes, reporting, capacity planning, and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Provision, install, configure, operate, monitor, and maintain infrastructure hardware, software, and associated services.

Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure services.

Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge management resources.

He kōrero mōu - About you
You may currently be a Senior End User Compute/Desktop Support Engineer within a large organisation, or an Infrastructure Engineer in a smaller environment looking to take the next step in your career. Most importantly, you will be passionate about technology, eager to learn, and motivated to grow your infrastructure expertise within a supportive team environment.
Keys to your success in this role:

1–3 years' experience in IT Infrastructure or similar technical support role.

Experience building positive working relationships and collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Strong technical knowledge of enterprise technologies, including Citrix, VMware, Enterprise Storage, Group Policy, Active Directory, Exchange, Anti-Virus, Skype, Proxy, Email Security, Commvault, Acronis, SCCM, and infrastructure monitoring tools.

A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

A solid understanding of infrastructure and network architecture principles.

The ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively manage competing demands.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Intune would be highly advantageous.
