Superside is hiring a Head of Retention Marketing to drive customer retention, adoption, and expansion across our customer base. Reporting to the Sr. Director of ABM and Field Marketing, you'll build the programs, playbooks, and lifecycle strategies that help customers maximize value while equipping account teams to proactively manage account health. Success looks like higher utilization, stronger retention, and more expansion opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Build and own retention programs that reinforce customer value throughout the lifecycle.
  • Develop adoption and utilization initiatives that help customers maximize the value of their Superside subscription.
  • Design customer engagement journeys that improve retention, renewal readiness, and account health.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to launch customer-facing campaigns for new products, services, and capabilities.
  • Identify churn risks through customer data and health signals, activating targeted interventions before renewal conversations begin.
  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing to develop automated journeys based on usage, engagement, and account health signals.
  • Build playbooks, toolkits, and resources that enable Account Managers and Group Account Directors to proactively manage customer relationships.
  • Create enablement materials that support cross-sell, upsell, and expansion opportunities across the customer base.
  • Partner with ABM, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Account teams to strengthen customer advocacy and engagement programs.
  • Establish measurement frameworks to track retention, utilization, adoption, customer health, and expansion performance.
  • What you'll need to succeed

  • 7+ years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, customer marketing, or subscription growth roles.
  • Proven experience owning retention, renewal, utilization, or churn reduction programs.
  • Experience designing and scaling customer lifecycle programs, including segmentation, journey mapping, trigger-based campaigns, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of customer health metrics, retention drivers, and account-based growth strategies.
  • Experience building enablement programs and resources for customer-facing commercial teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to identify trends, segment customer cohorts, and develop targeted interventions.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Sales organizations.
  • Experience working in SaaS, subscription, marketplace, or services-based businesses.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Builder mentality with a passion for creating scalable systems, processes, and programs from the ground up.
