About this GTM Analyst role at Harmattan AI
About Us
Harmattan AI is a next-generation defense prime building autonomous and scalable defense systems. Following the close of a $200M Series B, valuing the company at $1.4 billion, we are expanding our teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical systems to allied forces.
Our work is guided by clear values: building technologies with real-world impact, pursuing excellence in everything we do, setting ambitious goals, and taking on the hardest technical challenges. We operate in a demanding environment where rigor, ownership, and execution are expected.
About the Role
As Harmattan AI scales across multiple geographies, our commercial strategy needs to move beyond ad hoc awareness of market opportunities toward a systematic, open-source intelligence (OSINT) capability — one that can prioritise markets and anticipate procurement opportunities, from macro geopolitical trends down to specific upcoming tenders.
As Go-to-Market Analyst, you will build and own this intelligence capability from the ground up, working at the intersection of geopolitics, defense procurement, and commercial strategy. You will have direct visibility with leadership from day one, translating open-source signals into structured intelligence that shapes go-to-market decisions across Business Development.
Responsibilities
Market Prioritisation Framework
Build and maintain a global market prioritisation framework for GTM, scoring countries and regions based on defense budgets, doctrine, alliances, and procurement cycles.
Validate and refine scoring criteria in coordination with Sales Operations & Strategy.
Procurement & Tender Intelligence
Track and anticipate procurement pipelines and upcoming tenders/programs across priority defense markets, in coordination with sales teams.
Maintain an operational tracking system for tenders and programs of interest, integrated with HubSpot.
Intelligence Briefs & GTM Enablement
Produce structured country and program intelligence briefs feeding sales strategy decisions.
Establish a recurring intelligence brief cadence (weekly and/or monthly) adopted by the sales organization.
Respond to ad hoc research requests ahead of strategic decisions, such as market entry or tender go/no-go calls.
Monitor open sources — defense press, government publications, procurement portals, and think tank reporting — for signals relevant to priority countries and programs.
Candidate Requirements
1-4 years of experience, with some prior exposure to the defense/security sector or geopolitical risk analysis — through internships, a first role, or academic specialization.
Prior OSINT or structured research experience is a strong plus.
Experience at a think tank or research institute focused on defense and international affairs (e.g. IFRI, IRIS), a market intelligence or business development function within a defense industry prime, or a specialized OSINT/economic intelligence firm is ideal background.
We look forward to hearing how you can help shape the future of autonomous defense systems at Harmattan AI.
