About this Founding Marketing Lead role at Flatgigs
We are looking for a Founding Marketing Lead for an early-stage, founder-led AI startup in sports technology, based in Dubai with a live product pilot in market and we're building something genuinely new in a fast-moving, AI-forward space.
The role
Own brand and demand from the ground up: positioning, content, social, campaigns, and top-of-funnel growth. You'll define how we sound and show up, and build the marketing engine from scratch. This is a marketing and brand role, not sales - the founder owns partnerships and deal-closing.
The model
This starts part-time, alongside your current job. It's built for someone settled in a good role who wants real ownership in something they believe in: AI-driven, ambitious, built on the side to begin with, with equity and a path to a full-time co-founder seat as we grow.
Requirements
- At least 3+ years in growth, brand, or product marketing, including real time at an early-stage startup (seed to Series A).
- You've built a brand and a demand engine from near-zero, not just optimised an existing one.
- Experience marketing to consumers, or through a business channel to reach consumers (B2B2C). Backgrounds we like: two-sided marketplaces, consumer subscription apps, fintech, D2C, health/fitness, edtech, gaming, or B2B platforms.
- A hands-on operator who can both set the positioning and make the content and campaigns yourself, without a big team or agency.
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity. You can carry a function solo, part-time, and async.
Bonus
- Interest or background in sports, sports-tech, or football.
- GCC / MENA market experience.
- Content creation or design skills.
