Electrical Manufacturing Program Manager

Starting Salary: From $120,000 annually, with higher compensation available depending on experience.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Manufacturing Program Manager to oversee custom power distribution equipment projects from order kickoff through final delivery. This position works with customers and internal departments to coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, testing, and shipping activities while ensuring projects remain on schedule and meet quality expectations.
The ideal candidate has experience managing engineered-to-order manufacturing projects and enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee custom electrical equipment projects from initial requirements through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, shipment, and project completion.
Serve as the primary customer contact throughout each phase of the project.
Coordinate activities between sales, application engineering, design engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams.
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules while tracking critical milestones.
Establish achievable production and delivery schedules based on material availability and manufacturing capacity.
Lead project kickoff meetings and monitor action items through completion.
Manage customer-requested changes, engineering revisions, and schedule adjustments.
Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), project documentation, and shipment readiness.
Identify project risks early and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues before they impact delivery.
Maintain project reports, schedule updates, on-time delivery metrics, and overall project status.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
5 or more years of project management experience in manufacturing, electrical equipment, or electromechanical industries.
Experience managing engineered-to-order (ETO) or custom manufacturing projects.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, order management, and coordination of long-lead materials.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
Experience collaborating with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams.
Proficiency with ERP systems and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
Excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with power distribution equipment, including switchgear, Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), Remote Power Panels (RPPs), Static Transfer Switches (STS), or UPS systems.
PMP certification or active pursuit of certification.
Familiarity with UL, NEC, ANSI, or other electrical industry standards.
Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and customer witness testing.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
