About this Commercialization & Planning Associate (New Venture) role at David Protein

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.
This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.
Role & Responsibilities:
We're looking for a highly organized, systems-oriented operator to assist with the operational commercialization of products for one of our new ventures.
This role sits at the intersection of Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring our new product moves from concept to customer seamlessly. You'll own cross-functional launch execution by building project plans, coordinating manufacturing partners, managing timelines, and driving accountability across internal and external stakeholders.
You'll establish the processes, tools, and operating rhythms that make commercialization repeatable as the brand scales. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and loves bringing new products to market.
Commercialization & Launch Management
- Own the operational commercialization of new products from development through customer launch.
- Lead cross-functional execution across Product Development, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Quality, Logistics, and external partners.
- Build and manage commercialization plans, timelines, and launch readiness to ensure products are delivered on time and in full.
- Coordinate production readiness, manufacturing scale-up, and customer launch execution.
- Identify execution risks, remove bottlenecks, and drive issues to resolution.
Operational Execution
- Translate go-to-market strategies into executable operational plans.
- Partner with contract manufacturers, suppliers, packaging vendors, and logistics providers to ensure seamless launch execution.
- Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and dependencies to key stakeholders throughout commercialization.
Process & Systems
- Build and maintain project trackers, dashboards, and operational tools that improve visibility and execution.
- Standardize commercialization processes, documentation, and governance to create scalable, repeatable product launches.
- Drive continuous improvement across commercialization workflows, systems, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Commercialization, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Operations, R&D Operations, or a related role within CPG, food & beverage, or consumer products.
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional product launches.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and external operational partners.
- Strong communicator who can align cross-functional teams and drive execution across diverse stakeholders.
- Systems-oriented with a passion for building scalable processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
- Curious, resourceful, and energized by bringing innovative products to market.

- Salary: $130,000-$140,000 per year, inclusive of bonus.
