About This Role
We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. At TrueAccord, we do things differently. We aren't just "collecting debt", we are helping people find a path back to financial health. As we grow, you will be on the front lines, moving away from old-school, aggressive collection tactics to provide a modern, helpful experience.
 
Your mission is to act as a financial guide. You won’t just be following a script; you will use your communication skills to help real people solve problems and regain control of their finances.

What You'll Do:

  • Be a Financial Guide: Use your excellent communication and negotiation skills to connect with consumers, understand their unique financial situations, and guide them to resolve their outstanding balances.
  • Drive Results: Proactively manage all communication channels—including calls (inbound and outbound), email, and chat—to establish effective payment plans and reach account resolution goals.
  • Champion Our Mission: Uphold the highest quality and compliance standards, always applying our empathetic approach to debt recovery.
  • Innovate & Collaborate: Work within a vibrant call center team that is constantly looking for new ways to help consumers achieve financial stability.

  • Qualifications:

    Onsite & Physical Requirements

    This is an onsite position based in our local office and regular,  in-person attendance is an essential function of the role. The position requires collaboration, participation in in-person meetings, access to office resources, and partnership with cross-functional teams.
     
    This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment and involves computer-based work, including extended periods working at a computer, using standard office technology, and communicating through verbal, written, and digital channels. The role may require moving throughout the office and occasionally lifting or moving office materials up to <10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role.
     
    Such roles may require occasional flexibility outside of standard business hours to support business needs, cross-time-zone collaboration, or key meetings. Occasional local and/or international travel may also be required.
