As Business Development Manager – Partnerships, you will act as both headhunter and dealmaker for Mondia's growth across the EU and MEA markets, based out of Madrid. You will proactively identify, approach, and secure new strategic partners — primarily international OTTs across verticals (Entertainment, VOD, Lifestyle, Music Streaming…) — building a strong pipeline of opportunities from first contact through to signed commercial agreement. You will own revenue targets for your portfolio, cultivate senior   relationships, and work closely with Technical Account Management, Marketing and Product to bring partners and profitable value propositions to market. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business and partnership opportunities across the EU & MEA through proactive prospecting, negotiation, and commercial deal closure. 
  • Lead outreach and first-line engagement with prospective partners - primarily OTT Apps  - through to effective deal closing. 
  • Effectively present and pitch Mondia's solutions and value proposition to prospect partners, demonstrating commercial benefits that will drive the partnership and ensure deal closure. 
  • Define objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and partnership goals for the region. 
  • Own revenue and partnership P&L targets, including regular forecasting and revenue management (weekly, monthly, quarterly). 
  • Lead complex, high-value negotiations and govern commercial agreements and contract terms through to signature. 
  • Develop and cultivate deep relationships with partner senior management at Business Unit Head and to upsell new solutions and secure better revenue/margin outcomes. 
  • Build and manage relationships, representing Mondia at industry and executive level across the region. 
  • Identify and track trends within partner organizations, the wider industry, and the competitive landscape to inform positioning and partner sourcing strategy. 
  • Work closely with TAM, Marketing, Product, and Innovation teams to shape differentiated, profitable solutions for partners and Mondia. 
  • Analyze pipeline and portfolio performance, translating insights into strategic recommendations that connect sourcing activity to broader business impact. 

Competencies

  • Strong sourcing, headhunting, and outreach instincts, with the persistence to build a pipeline from a cold start. 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills at executive level. 
  • Strong knowledge of trending OTTs per market, as well as telecom operator (MNO) landscape, particularly across Eastern Europe and the MEA region. 
  • Demonstrable experience developing strategic business plans that drive change when implemented. 
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of commercial performance. 
  • Background in digital technologies, video, games, or programmatic platforms is desirable. 
  • Client-centric approach to solution-selling, with the ability to persuasively articulate a value proposition. 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; comfortable operating under ambiguity and sustained pressure. 
  • Fluent in English; Spanish and other regional languages are a plus. 

Technical Competencies/Skills   

  • Deep market knowledge across the OTT ecosystem, digital brands, and mobile payments, with a strong understanding of commercial models, partner ecosystems, and digital monetization strategies. 
  • Strong knowledge of the telecom operator ecosystem and sourcing channels across EU and GSA markets. 
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and disciplined use of Salesforce/CRM for pipeline tracking. 
  • AI tools for efficient pipeline tracking, revenue… etc. 
  • Strong reporting skills, with the ability to present pipeline, partnership performance, and strategy at executive level. 

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles, ideally within a technology, content, or information services provider, ideally with a proven track record of headhunting and sourcing new business from scratch. 
  • Demonstrated success building a pipeline and closing high-value deals with international mobile operators, with a strong foothold in the Eastern Europe and MEA markets. 
  • Track record owning revenue targets and P&L, including forecasting and revenue planning at director or senior level. 
  • Experience developing and cultivating senior executive relationships. 
  • Excellent knowledge of digital brands, OTTs, mobile payments, and marketing practices and strategies.
