As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while nurturing long-term relationships with existing clients across international markets. You will manage the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting and pipeline management to proposal development, commercial negotiations, and successful project handover to delivery teams. The role requires a consultative sales approach, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to represent the organization professionally at conferences, networking events, and client meetings. Success in this position will depend on your ability to understand client needs, build strategic partnerships, and collaborate effectively with internal teams to support sustainable business growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the video game, creative, and related industries Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders

·        Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline from lead generation to project closure

·        Ability to diagnose client needs, understand client production challenges, and build long term partnerships.

·        Prepare proposals, presentations, and pitches that align with the studio's capabilities and client needs

·        Collaborate with art, production, and leadership teams to scope projects, define requirements, and ensure feasibility

·        Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to support sustainable and profitable engagements

·        Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during pre-sales and handover to production

·        Monitor industry trends, client needs, and competitor activity to inform growth strategy

·        Represent the studio at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities

Track and report on pipeline status, revenue targets, and business development performance

Requirements

·        Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

·        At least 5 years of experience in business development, consultative sales, account management, or client relationship management

·        Proven hunter mindset with experience identifying, pursuing, and developing new business opportunities while maintaining long-term client relationships

·        Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage senior decision-makers and represent the company professionally

·        Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to build rapport naturally across different personalities, cultures, and business environments

·        Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, relationship-focused environment

·        Willingness and ability to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences, and networking events. A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required

·         A collaborative and approachable personality. Someone who is personable, curious, and can comfortably build relationships without relying on aggressive or overly transactional sales techniques

·        Genuine interest in creative, entertainment, gaming, or pop culture industries, with the ability to connect naturally with clients in a relaxed and informal business environment

 

Advantageous or Nice to haves:

·        Experience in the gaming, animation, creative services, digital media, technology, or outsourcing industries

·        Experience managing international business development activities or working with clients across North America, Europe, Asia, or other global markets

·        Familiarity with creative production workflows, project delivery processes, or outsourced service engagements

·        Experience representing an organization at international conferences, trade shows, networking events, or industry exhibitions

·       Existing network or experience working with game developers, publishers, creative studios, or similar organizations is an advantage
