We are now seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as Baggage Handler and Wheelchair Attendant at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR). In this hands-on role, you will assist airline passengers with their baggage, including oversized items, ensuring safe and efficient transport while providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
Baggage Handler
- Assist passengers with standard and oversized baggage
- Transport items safely from the ticket counter to TSA screening areas
- Handle various types of luggage
- Support airline ticket counter staff with loading luggage onto conveyors
- Ensure careful, respectful handling of all passenger belongings
- Maintain clear communication with passengers, team members, and airline staff
- Represent Pacific Aviation / SAS by upholding our core values of respect, responsibility, teamwork, and safety
Wheelchair Attendant
As a Wheelchair Attendant, you’ll be the helping hand that guides passengers through their travel journey. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- Guide with Kindness: Assist passengers needing wheelchair or luggage assistance, making them feel cared for and valued.
- Information Expert: Provide general information and directions, ensuring passengers feel confident navigating the airport.
- Positive Presence: Project a friendly and approachable image, leaving a lasting impression on travelers from around the world.
- Team Collaborator: Work closely with your team, airline personnel, and supervisors to ensure passengers’ needs are met seamlessly.
Shift Requirements
Baggage Handler
- Schedule: Thursday through Monday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Seasonal position from July to September 1st 2026
Wheelchair Attendant
- You will then transition to a part time or full time night time Wheelchair Attendant position
- Flexibility to accommodate flight activity and operational needs
What You Bring
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs)
- Stamina to walk long distances and stay active throughout the shift
- Ability to pass the required airport background check
- Previous customer service or baggage handling experience is a plus
