We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Automation Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex warehouse automation and industrial automation projects. This role is ideal for a technically proficient project management professional who can oversee end-to-end project execution, coordinate with global stakeholders, and ensure the timely deployment of advanced automation solutions.
You will be responsible for managing project schedules, vendor relationships, customer communications, and cross-functional teams while ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and performance objectives. The role requires strong expertise in warehouse automation technologies, project management methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with international clients, particularly US-based stakeholders.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of warehouse automation and industrial automation projects from planning through deployment and handover.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation using project management tools.
- Coordinate the deployment of automation solutions, including AMRs, conveyors, AS/RS, goods-to-person systems, sortation systems, and robotics.
- Monitor project progress through critical path analysis, risk management, and performance tracking to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage vendors throughout the project lifecycle, including scope definition, contract coordination, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and escalation management.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, controls, and customer teams to ensure seamless system integration and project execution.
- Review engineering drawings, warehouse layouts, equipment specifications, and technical documentation to support project implementation.
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively with customers, internal stakeholders, and leadership teams.
- Support commissioning activities, system validation, and post-deployment performance reviews to ensure project success.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience managing complex technical projects, including at least 3 years delivering warehouse automation, material handling, or industrial automation projects.
- Strong expertise in warehouse automation technologies, including AMRs, conveyors, AS/RS, goods-to-person systems, sortation systems, and robotics.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, along with experience in Gantt scheduling, critical path analysis, and earned value management.
- Strong vendor management, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and warehouse layouts.
- Experience with WMS/WCS integration, controls engineering, commissioning activities, and automation system deployment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CAPEX governance, ROI analysis, and post-deployment performance validation is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with experience working with international stakeholders and willingness to support overlapping US business hours and occasional international travel.
