As an Associate Commercial Analyst, you will help guide the sales team in improving processes, services, products, and software through analysis. You will share a continuous focus on growth with the business leaders and will be co-responsible for building out the dubizzle/Bayut brand.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the target-setting process for the Property Inside Sales and Jobs verticals and track performance against targets.
  • Build, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports to monitor business performance, sales productivity, operational KPIs, and commercial metrics.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis on high-volume, multi-source datasets to identify business opportunities, operational inefficiencies, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Monitor competitor performance, pricing strategies, and business models, providing actionable recommendations to strengthen market positioning.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Sales teams to provide analytical insights that support data-driven business strategies and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain self-service reporting tools and data solutions that enable business users to access insights with minimal analyst support.
  • Design executive-level dashboards, presentations, and business documentation, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and client proposals.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis, business planning, and ad hoc commercial analyses in collaboration with the Strategy and Finance teams.
  • Assist in managing and monitoring the commercial performance and P&L of the Property and Jobs verticals through regular performance reviews and financial analysis.
  • Work closely with the Central Data Team and the Property Inside Sales & Jobs business to facilitate timely delivery of analytical support, reports, dashboards, and data requirements.
  • Spend significant time on the sales floor working closely with the Sales team to understand business challenges, prepare sales enablement kits, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Attend approximately 2–3 client meetings per month to assist Sales Account Managers with analytical insights, business presentations, proposal preparation, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of business data by validating reports and resolving data quality issues.
  • Drive automation initiatives that improve reporting efficiency, streamline business processes, and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Deliver analytical projects within agreed timelines while effectively managing multiple priorities and collaborating with other analysts when required.
  • Work independently on complex business problems, proactively identifying opportunities for operational improvement and recommending practical, data-backed solutions.
  • Directly support the Director of Property Inside Sales & Jobs on strategic initiatives, business reviews, commercial analyses, and management consulting-style problem solving.
  • Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to improve revenue, client success, operational efficiency, and overall business performance through data-driven analysis and actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or Statistics.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in a strategy/business analytics/sales enabler role, having closely worked with a product in an internet/e-commerce company.
  • Experience in e-commerce, internet and/or digital media.
  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Business Intelligence Dashboard Tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial and Financial concepts.
  • Ability to crunch heavy data, build insights and drive operational decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate data and information into actionable insights and business recommendations.
