Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the accounting and tax team.
  • Be responsible for all the accounting and tax activities of the company.
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual internal and external audits.
  • Oversee local statutory audits and ensure compliance with all local filings.
  • Collaborate with advisors (accounting, tax, auditors) to complete statutory, VAT, and income tax declarations.
  • Evaluating the company’s financial transactions to ensure they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.
  • Work closely with the organization’s stakeholders and provide financial reports.
  • Manage monthly accruals and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Support the Finance team in implementing new accounting principles, tools, and internal process automation.

Requirements

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or relevant certification (CPA/CMA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role (preferably within FMCG industry).
  • Signatory authority A' class
  • Experience in managing invoicing & cashflows as well as exposure to general ledger entries will be preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP accounting programs.
  • Up to date knowledge of Greek and International accounting standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (highly excel skilled).
  • Prior experience with BI Tools will be considered a plus.
  • Very good time management skills.
  • Hands-on attitude and desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Being a team player with strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Greek and English language (verbal and written).
