About The Role: 

This is a sportsbook team that builds and maintains real-time systems processing high-volume transactional and event-driven data related to sports betting and trading. The systems operate in a highly dynamic environment where they must react instantly to external events such as odds changes, market updates, and bet placements. Reliability, performance, and accuracy are critical, as even small issues can directly impact business outcomes. This is a fast-paced environment suited for people who are comfortable working with large data streams, rapidly changing conditions, and strict stability requirements. 

How You’ll Make an Impact:  

• Design and execute test plans and test cases with focus on sportsbook features (odds, markets, betting flows, trading logic). 
• Perform structured exploratory, regression, and risk-based testing with strong attention to real-time and high-risk betting scenarios. 
• Validate backend data and calculations using API testing and SQL, ensuring correctness of odds, bets, and settlements. 
• Own feature testing end-to-end, track defects, escalate risks early, and ensure stable and timely releases in a fast-paced trading environment. 
• Collaborate closely with Product, Traders, Dev, and QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure correct sportsbook logic. 
• Monitor quality metrics, improve test coverage, and support process improvements in a domain-critical, real-time system. 

Who You Are:  

• 3+ years of experience in Manual QA with strong understanding of sportsbook / betting systems (odds, markets, trading lifecycle). 
• Previous experience as a trader or strong understanding of trading operations, pricing, and risk management is mandatory. 
• Strong API and backend validation skills, including SQL for data verification (bets, settlements, odds changes). 
• Experience with exploratory and risk-based testing in real-time or high-load systems. 
• Familiarity with Agile workflows, Jira, Git/Bitbucket, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins). 
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-changing, high-pressure environments.
