About This Role
The Construction Quality Control/Assurance (QC/QA) Specialist role works closely with members of the project management, infrastructure engineering, project controls and procurement departments from installation through start of production. The QC/QA Specialist documents and manages quality of all construction scopes for a project. Specifically, these tasks include coordination with trade subcontractors, vendor tool installations, resolving day to day quality issues, performing day to day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule and budget. This role works directly with a Site Superintendent and Construction Manager. In many cases it will also be in tandem with a Construction Engineers, Subcontractors, and other project superintendents. Specific responsibilities and qualifications are below:
Responsibilities will include:
- Identifies risks at the project site and identifying discrepancies during daily site walks. Documents findings, evaluations and inspections using Company prescribed procedures and software.
- Assists with protocols, qualifications, and prescribed validation procedures and documentation.
- Performs system verifications on completed systems to assure correct installation per contract design specifications.
- Documents, analyzes and reports environmental performance to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
- Supports impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce the organization’s environmental risks and financial costs, at the direction of the environmental team and procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
- Support published corporate policies.
- Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field construction experience supervising QA/QC inspections for heavy civil or large capital projects preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree, Engineering Technologist Diploma with 3+ years of related construction QA/QC field experience preferred.
- ACI or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 ICC Special Inspector Certifications is required. (eg. Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector, Structural Steel and Bolting, Structural Welding, Structural Masonry, Prestressed Concrete, Soils, etc.)
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction industry compliance preferred.
- Proven subject matter expert in testing, inspection processes and construction procedures.
- Leadership and mentoring ability and ownership.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn and grow in inspection, monitoring, technical writing and documentation.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $140,000 annually.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
