About the Role:

This is a sportsbook team that builds and maintains real-time systems processing high-volume transactional and event-driven data related to sports betting and trading. The systems operate in a highly dynamic environment where they must react instantly to external events such as odds changes, market updates, and bet placements. Reliability, performance, and accuracy are critical, as even small issues can directly impact business outcomes. This is a fast-paced environment suited for people who are comfortable working with large data streams, rapidly changing conditions, and strict stability requirements. 

How You’ll Make an Impact:  

• Define and manage test strategy for complex sportsbook and trading features, aligning scope with risk and business impact. 
• Own end-to-end release quality, including exploratory, integration, and regression testing across systems. 
• Manage defect analysis, root cause investigation, and risk-based prioritization of issues affecting betting/trading flows. 
• Collaborate with Traders, Product, Dev, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure correct sportsbook reasoning and release readiness. 
• Mentor QA engineers, review test design, improve QA practices, and drive a quality-first mindset across teams. 
• Track QA metrics, incidents, and release quality using dashboards and data-driven insights to improve processes. 

Who You Are: 

• 5+ years of experience in Manual QA with deep sportsbook/trading domain knowledge (odds, markets, settlement, risk). 
• Proven ability to inspire test strategy, complex system testing, and release quality ownership. 
• Advanced API and SQL skills for validating complex backend flows and multi-table data consistency. 
• Strong experience in exploratory, risk-based, and integration testing in distributed systems. 
• Ability to conduct root cause and trend evaluation of defects and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. 
• Experience mentoring QA teams and collaborating across Agile, cross-functional environments.
