About this Staff Product Manager role at GoodParty.org
GoodParty.org is looking for a growth and user-obsessed Staff Product Manager to turn running as an Independent from a long shot into a real path to office. You'll own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap behind the tools tens of thousands of candidates and elected officials use to put people over parties.
You'll partner closely with our CPO, Design, and Engineering teams to turn ideas into scalable solutions and build the funnels that drive adoption and growth. The ideal candidate has an 8+ year track record of taking products from 0 to 1 and beyond, with the instincts to know when to pivot and the discipline to let data prove it.
About GoodParty.org:
A majority of voters, including more than half of Millennials and Gen Z, say that neither major party represents them. GoodParty.org is the solution.
We're on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering Independent candidates to run, win, and serve.
Since 2024, 13,000+ Independent candidates have won their races across all 50 states using our tools, training, and support. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to launch and run campaigns, connect with voters, and serve their communities effectively — without needing a political party or big donors. What our users have in common is that they prioritize people over parties and community over special interests. We're not a political party, we're a platform and a movement to democratize democracy.
Founded by serial entrepreneur Farhad Mohit ($1B+ in exits, including Flipagram/TikTok and Shopzilla), GoodParty.org is building solutions so we can have a truly representative democracy where society's biggest problems are solved.
What you’ll do:
Drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with the product team and politics team stakeholders.
Turn ideas into scalable product solutions that empower independents to explore a run for office, run winning campaigns, and serve in office.
Leverage your passion for users to organize user research and testing across our politically diverse user base in collaboration with the design team.
Productize emerging AI tools to improve our products and features and scale yourself.
Create cohesive funnels that drive user adoption, growth, and unlock a viable path for independent candidates.
Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to validate ideas, learn from user interactions or feedback, and improve metrics on existing products.
Report to the CPO and partner closely with our Designer and Engineering team.
Who we’re looking for:
You’re up for the audacious challenge of transforming our democracy by making running as an independent a viable path to getting elected into service. You’re very curious about this problem space or are already passionate about it.
You thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with a strong bias toward action.
You’re a proven A-player with a 8+ year track record of building tech products, with increasing responsibility and success.
You’ve either built something from scratch or were very early on a product that went from 0 or 0.5 to 1 (and beyond). You’re quick to pivot when the need arises or a better path emerges.
You get obsessed with your user. You research them and proactively try to make them as successful as possible by improving the product.
You’re analytical with a metrics mindset, plus you’ve got the data, optimization, and problem solving skills to ensure products meet their potential.
You’re actively using emerging AI tools and understand the basics of prompt engineering both to scale yourself and improve products and features.
You have a baseline understanding of how the American political system works.
You’re able to work independently and also enjoy collaborating with others to iteratively solve problems in real-time. You thrive working at the startup speed that our mission demands.
You pursue understanding user perspectives and behavior with curiosity and empathy.
You communicate clearly, directly, and respectfully, and you're open to delivering and receiving candid feedback that helps the team grow.
Bonus if:
You have experience working in small, tight-knit, fast-paced remote teams.
You have professional or volunteer experience in civic tech, democracy reform, political campaigns, or social impact initiatives.
You're tired of sitting on the sidelines while democracy fails to meet its potential — and you're ready to act.
Why you should work at GoodParty.org:
Join a passionate team with diverse political views focused on one mission. Our values are: People First. Direct, Open, and Honest. Empowered Ownership. Iterate for Impact. Fun Is Fuel.
We're a Public Benefit Corporation that prioritizes social impact over profit.
Innovative Bitcoin denominated deferred bonus plan, allowing you to have the amazing upside of being in a startup while working on a truly meaningful mission.

We encourage you to take time off to recharge and have an unlimited PTO (sick and vacation) policy. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We believe a work-life balance is needed to get there.
401(k) program available so you can contribute toward retirement savings (no employer match).
Individual learning & development budget to fund your growth.
We'll make sure you've got what you need to work remotely through our workspace setup stipend.
If you work from home, we give $50/month to help with your internet and other expenses. If you prefer co-working, that's an option we can discuss too.
