Sigma Defense is seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Quality Control Engineer - RF Hardware & Electronics to support testing, inspection, troubleshooting, documentation, and quality verification of electronic components, assemblies, and systems. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, requiring someone who can follow detailed procedures, learn quickly, and consistently produce accurate results in a fast-paced technical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronic systems, test equipment, and quality documentation. Experience with RF systems is highly desirable, and familiarity with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, or other electronic test equipment is a strong plus.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products meet defined quality standards before release. The successful candidate should be organized, dependable, technically curious, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and documentation.

Requirements
- Experience working with electronic components, assemblies, or systems.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems, tools, and procedures quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently.
- Ability to perform hands-on testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation tasks with minimal errors.
- Ability to develop clear technical documentation, including test procedures, inspection steps, and quality records.
- Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office tools, and electronic documentation systems.
- Good organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate quality records.
- Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Clear communication skills and willingness to work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Ability to identify abnormal test results or product conditions and escalate issues appropriately.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Candidate Differentiators:
- Experience with RF systems, RF components, or RF test environments.
- Experience using spectrum analyzers.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters, signal generators, network analyzers, or similar test equipment.
- Experience in a QC, test engineering, electronics technician, or manufacturing test role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, defense, aerospace, or electronics environment.
- Familiarity with quality documentation, inspection forms, nonconformance reporting, or calibration control.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
- Clearance may be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, RF Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field of study.
- Candidates without an engineering degree may be considered if they have strong, directly relevant hands-on experience with electronics, RF systems, hardware testing, manufacturing test, electronics, or quality control in a technical environment
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Perform inspections, functional testing, and verification of incoming components, assemblies, and finished products.
- Execute QC test procedures with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Develop, write, and revise test procedures, inspection instructions, and quality documentation as needed.
- Operate electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other standard lab equipment.
- Support RF-related testing when applicable, including use of spectrum analyzers or other RF test equipment.
- Record, review, and document test results clearly and accurately using standard QC forms, logs, and systems.
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, assemblies, or test results.
- Support root cause investigations, troubleshooting activities, and corrective action efforts as needed.
- Verify that products meet applicable drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements.
- Maintain organized quality records and ensure timely filing of test and inspection documentation.
- Maintain and operate test equipment properly, with awareness of calibration requirements and equipment status.
- Follow detailed work instructions, quality procedures, and safety requirements precisely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in accordance with 5S standards.
- Communicate clearly with engineering, production, and quality teams regarding test results, issues, and process improvements.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
