About the Role
A Physical Therapist position is available in Lee’s Summit, MO for a clinician who wants to work in an outpatient orthopedic setting with a steady patient base and an experienced clinical team.
This role focuses on helping patients improve movement, strength, balance, mobility, and daily function. The clinic primarily treats orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions and serves patients from 11 to 90 years old, creating a varied caseload with different recovery goals and activity levels.
New graduates are encouraged to apply, and experienced Physical Therapists will be considered for the higher salary range based on years of experience.
Compensation
- New Graduate PT: $65,000–$70,000 per year
- Experienced PT: $80,000–$90,000 per year, based on years of experience
Schedule Options
The clinic offers flexibility and strongly prefers one of the following schedules:
Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days Preferred
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Tuesday off each week
Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Clinic Details
- Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
- Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
- Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
- Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
- Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
- Insurance Accepted: BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, TRICARE, Humana, and Aetna
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and identify mobility, strength, balance, pain, and functional concerns
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
- Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, mobility work, balance training, and functional rehabilitation
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and safe movement strategies
- Monitor progress and update treatment plans when clinically appropriate
- Complete accurate documentation in WebPT
- Collaborate with PTAs and other clinical team members to support continuity of care
- Help patients work toward improved function and return to daily activities
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Outpatient orthopedic experience is helpful, but not required
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
- Ability to work professionally with patients across different ages and conditions
