- Lead the Yield Analysis organization to achieve fab yield and quality goals by establishing strategy, priorities, and execution plans focused on Yield Deviation, Yield Tail reduction, yield ramp acceleration, and long-term yield improvement. Own key yield metrics and communicate performance, risks, and recovery plans to site and executive leadership.
- Establish and drive KPI-based yield management systems including Yield Loss, Static Yield, Yield Tail, Deviation Loss, Root Cause Identification Rate, Time-to-Source, CAPA Closure Rate, PFA Cycle Time, and Issue Tracker Health. Develop forecasting methodologies, dashboards, and operating mechanisms that drive accountability and predictable yield improvement.
- Provide technical leadership for Model-Based Problem Solving (MBPS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) by coaching engineers to move beyond symptom identification and achieve verified physical root cause. Drive rigorous problem-solving methodologies including hypothesis testing, fault-tree analysis, 5-Why investigations, DOE development, and statistical validation.
- Lead cross-functional issue resolution teams by partnering with Process Integration, Process Engineering, RDA, Failure Analysis, Quality, and Manufacturing organizations to prioritize yield opportunities, accelerate containment actions, implement CAPAs, establish robust defense lines, and ensure sustainable issue closure.
- Drive advanced yield analytics and deep probe-data mining capabilities across the organization. Ensure teams effectively utilize lot, wafer, die, bitmap, parametric, defect, and inline data to identify emerging yield opportunities, characterize failure mechanisms, and improve issue sourcing velocity.
- Ensuring timely PFA/EFA submissions, resource prioritization, correlation of electrical and physical signatures, and translation of FA results into actionable process improvements and work with the EFA/PFA teams on priority setting.
- Develop organizational capability and technical talent through hiring, coaching, mentoring, training plans, succession planning, and skills certification. Build a high-performing engineering team with expertise in yield analysis, defect engineering, MBPS, statistical analysis, AI-enabled analytics, and semiconductor process technology.
- Drive innovation, automation, and AI adoption across the yield organization by developing and deploying new systems, dashboards, analytics platforms, Copilot-based workflows, and decision-support tools that improve engineering productivity and problem-solving effectiveness. Scale successful solutions across multiple products, organizations, and fabs to maximize business impact.
- Collaborate with global Yield Analysis teams to standardize best-known methods (BKMs), drive consistency across sites, share learnings, and establish common yield-improvement frameworks that accelerate ramp performance and operational excellence across the network.
- Build and sustain a high-performing global Yield Analysis organization by integrating Boise and Taiwan teams into a unified operating model with shared accountability, consistent technical standards, and aligned strategic objectives. Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and organizational excellence that maximizes engagement and team effectiveness across geographies.
- Partner with global stakeholders to leverage follow-the-sun engineering capabilities, enabling continuous issue resolution, knowledge sharing, and execution across regions. Ensure effective cross-site coordination, communication, and leadership alignment to accelerate yield learning, improve operational efficiency, and achieve business objectives.
