• Own the end-to-end integration pipeline — from design and configuration to deployment and production support — ensuring Workday connects seamlessly with internal and external platforms via Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Ensure data integrity across all inbound and outbound integrations by building rigorous mapping, transformation, and validation processes that keep Carta's people data accurate and compliant at scale
• Govern the integration lifecycle — managing code migrations, production hyper care, and Workday release cycles including impact analysis, regression testing, and adoption of new features
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday integrations, advising HR, IT, and business stakeholders on design patterns and best practices that drive scalable, maintainable solutions
• Extend Workday's capabilities through Extend applications, calculated fields, and business process automation that reduce manual work and unlock operational efficiency
• Maintain key external platform connections — including Greenhouse, HireVue, and others — keeping Carta's HR tech ecosystem reliable and well-integrated

The Team You'll Work With

You'll be joining Carta's People Platform team. This team owns the systems that power how nearly 2,000 Carta employees globally experience their work from hire to retire. The People Tech team sits at the intersection of HR, IT, and engineering, building the integrations and automation that keep Carta's people data accurate, compliant, and actionable across the business. As Carta scales internationally, this team's work becomes increasingly consequential  ensuring that every system, every data flow, and every workflow keeps pace with the company's growth.

About You

• Deep Workday integration expertise. You have 8 years of general Workday Experience and 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations — Studio, Orchestrations, Core Connectors, EIB, RaaS, REST, and SOAP — and you've built and maintained complex integrations in production environments.
• Workday platform fluency. You understand the Workday data model and business processes across multiple modules, including Core HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Benefits, and Security — and you know how changes in one area ripple through others.
• Technical depth. You're proficient in XML, XSLT, JSON, XSD, and SQL, and you're comfortable debugging integrations, managing API authentication, handling encryption and certificates (x509/PGP), and working within SFTP/data exchange frameworks.
• Global mindset. You've worked in global environments and can navigate the complexity that comes with multi-region, multi-system data flows and compliance requirements.
• Builder mentality. You don't just maintain systems — you make them smarter. Experience with Workday Extend and a working familiarity with agentic AI or LLMs (such as Claude) is a plus.

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 
 $161,000 - $190,000   in New York and San Francisco 
 $153,425 - $180,500  in Seattle

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
