The Workday Compensation Expert forms part of the Application Development track in the IT function. We ask that you have analysis, integration development, and configuration of the Workday platform. This is a remote, part time role (20 hours) and you will report to the IT Manager HR IS/IT.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject‑matter expert in Workday HCM, Core Compensation, and Advanced Compensation, Workday Recruiting.
• Review and advise on annual compensation processes, including configuration, execution, and support
• Assess existing Workday configuration and identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Provide guidance on best‑practice configuration for compensation plans, eligibility, and related business processes
• Design and recommend solutions aligned with global compensation requirements and Workday roadmap
• Create and review Workday reports and calculated fields related to compensation
• Advise on and review Workday business processes, notifications, and controls
• Support root‑cause analysis of compensation‑related issues and recommend corrective actions
• Partner with HRIT and Total Rewards to:
  • Document requirements
  • Review solution designs
  • Validate configuration approaches
• Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT from an advisory and quality‑assurance perspective
• Collaborate effectively with internal HRIT, Total Rewards, and external partners

Qualifications

• Deep, hands‑on expertise with Workday Advanced Compensation
• Strong working knowledge of Workday Core Compensation and HCM
• Proven experience supporting or advising on annual compensation cycles
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical Workday configuration guidance
• Experience reviewing or advising on:
  • Reports
  • Calculated fields
  • Business process configuration
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex Workday concepts clearly
• Collaborative, consultative working style
• Exposure to Workday integrations impacting compensation processes
• Experience working in global or multi‑country compensation environments
• Prior advisory or consulting experience supporting HRIT / Total Rewards teams
• Should be available during US EST time zone to directly work with Total Rewards SMEs.
