Job Description Summary
The Wind Global Investigation and Learning and Emergency Response Lead is responsible for supporting EHS specifically in the areas of event reporting, investigation, and learning activities including Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5 why methodologies. Additionally, the role will support basic business continuity and emergency/event response programs. The role will report to the Wind Global Operations and Center of Excellence EHS Leader and will be responsible for driving excellence across the organization regarding developing consistent and standard event learning and emergency response programs and expectations.This position will also be partnering cross functionally, with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure all aspects of event learning and emergency response safety programs are both implemented and actively utilized to drive sustainable improvement both in the Wind organization and GE Vernova. This includes but is not limited to integrating learnings and best practices to the Wind Event Management Policy, providing coaching and mentoring for investigation and learning programs, working with internal and external partners on learning trends and action plans, performing field audits and verifications, and reviewing data and trends related to EHS incident performance KPIs.
The role also requires oversight of the Emergency Response and Business Continuity structure for One Wind which includes working with internal stakeholders on response team structures, verifying drills and training activities for emergency activities are robust and in compliance, providing guidance on industry best practices, and integrating the GE Vernova emergency and crisis response requirements in the Wind organization.
Finally, this role will also provide input and support the wider Wind EHS team as we work to build one successful GE Vernova team.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead Incident Investigation and Learning program, with a priority focus on root cause and causal factors including human factors analysis
- Interface with the GEV EHS team on Read Across, Crisis and Emergency Response and Event/Incident Management core programs
- Participate as a member of the global GEV EHS Swift team for deployment for severe event investigations
- Engage with the GEV EHS global Security team to coordinate business continuity and emergency response program deliverables for Wind
- Lead Emergency Response program management including business continuity team, incident response (IMT) structure, support training for key roles and responsibilities in the emergency response program, etc.
- Integrate and operationalize GE Vernova Event Learning and Emergency Response core technical program expectations into the One Wind organization
- Robust understanding of Event Learning EHS programs and digitized applications such as Gensuite, ComplyWorks, SharePoint, etc.
- Develop training and coaching programs related to event management and emergency response core deliverables for cross-functional stakeholders
- Review incident and learning KPIs for trends and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Work with regional teams to support event learning and emergency response program activities
- Serve as a coach and mentor to team in order drive excellence and robustness in GE Vernova EHS Event Management and Emergency Response Programs and core deliverables
- Support GE Vernova EHS business operation system (Framework) and ISO programs
- Proactively partner and develop positive working relationships with cross-functional personnel
Qualifications/Requirements
- Major experience as a trained investigator/program lead
- Significant experience supporting business continuity and emergency response programs Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification
- Certified Health and Safety professional
- Experience investigator in RCA and 5 why methodologies including investigation digital tools and platforms
- Experience with FM Global programs and other associated emergency response reviews
- Prior experience in Wind industry and/or energy industry fields
- Significant experience and demonstrated achievements with safety programs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Medical fitness and ability to work at height per local and global standards
- Knowledge of EHS management systems
- Fluent English with strong communication skills (verbal and written)

- Trained to Global Wind Organization (GWO) basic safety standard

Eligibility Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 25-30% of the time
