The Warehouse Material Flow Manager is responsible for leading the efficient movement, availability, and organization of materials throughout the warehouse and production environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time to support production schedules and customer commitments.
This role leads a team supporting material coordination, and related material functions while driving warehouse functions, operational discipline, and inventory management. This Warehouse Material Flow Manager will oversee key warehouse functions including receiving, dock-to-stock, put-away, replenishment, staging, cart picking, lineside materials, running parts, and inventory location management.
This role will working closely with the Logistics Operations and Inventory Control leadership, the Warehouse Material Flow Manager will leverage SAP/ERP and WMS systems, inventory data, and process analysis to maintain inventory accuracy, optimize material flow, improve warehouse layouts and processes, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and increase operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of material supervisors and material handlers
- Develop and oversee material flow strategies across the warehouse and production value streams.
- Utilize ERP, WMS, and inventory management systems to monitor material movement.
- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production and customer fulfillment.
- Own dock-to-stock SLA and ensure timely put away, replenishment, and staging requirements.
- Partner with the Logistics Operations Manager.
- Maintain WM min/max levels.
- Partner with Inventory Control Manager.
- Optimize warehouse layouts, material handling processes and inventory locations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Own and maintain warehousing functions such as cart picking, lineside materials, put away, trucking, parts running.
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and audit requirements.
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years in receiving/warehouse/material coordination
- 3-5+ years of people management experience required in a union environment preferred
- Strong ERP/WMS transaction experience (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, 5S, and safe equipment operation
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze inventory discrepancies errors
- Ability to stand walk, and move thought out the facility for extended period of time
- Ability to lift up to 50LBS occasionally
- Use of PPE when required
