Your Role at Cabot:

Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Associate located in our Pampa, Texas manufacturing plant.  In this role you will ensure proper packaging, storing, labeling, loading and unloading of product.  You will be required to operate material handling equipment and follow quality and safety standards.  In addition, this position has responsibility for maintaining correct records for inventory and customer purposes. 

This position is scheduled for 8 hour day shift from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.      Overtime is periodically required during the week and on weekends.  The starting hourly rate is $26.80.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

Using your knowledge, skills and abilities, you will ensure our products are shipped to our customers correctly and clean.  You will maintain the correct documentation to ensure inventory is accurate. This role requires a self-motivated person with a positive attitude, strong organization skills, and urgency to make things happen. A successful candidate will be someone who can:

• Use Work Instructions (WI) and Product Quality Control Plans (PQCP) to process tasks involving shipping, receiving, packing and warehousing of chemical and non-chemical materials
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment; check and prepare documentation; load shipment into carriers.
• Receive and unpack goods, and label for identification purposes.  Store items in warehouse on floors or shelves as appropriate. 
• Prepare and maintain records inclusive of work orders, and inventory records
• Operate a forklift truck to transport goods and materials throughout the plant.  May operate other equipment such as pallet handlers, hand trucks, etc.
• Participate in scheduled safety meetings and complete all training requirements.
• Works in a safe manner and supports SH&E programs.  Ensure co-workers, internal and external, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001®   technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
• Support efforts to implement continuous improvement programs
• Performs other duties as required and assumes additional responsibility as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to Cabot:

• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehousing equipment
• Ability to interpret operating instructions; written, verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-based environment.
• Mechanical aptitude in order to operate and maintain equipment
• Strong attention to detail for picking and staging orders
• Ability to understand and execute inventory practices
• Ability to work with International Standards Organization (ISO) quality and process standards
• Competent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office and Outlook applications including formatting, data entry, and written communication
• Willingness to work overtime and/or possible call outs when needed
• Proficient communication skills: writing and verbal and must follow instructions and communicate clearly
• Collaborative attitude and inter-personal skills; willing to share information and resources with peers
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
