Job Description

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

The Trade Product Manager, Process & Service Excellence is responsible for driving process transformation, service excellence, and operational efficiency initiatives across the Group's Trade Finance business. The role has regional responsibility, partnering with country Transaction Banking, Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Sales teams to simplify processes, standardize practices, enhance client experience, and improve productivity across multiple markets.

The candidate will act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, ensuring that trade products and services are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in line with the Group's growth, risk, and client service objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Group Process Transformation & Optimization

• Lead regional process transformation and harmonization initiatives across Group Trade Finance
• Drive process simplification, standardization, and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and resource utilization
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual interventions, and improve end-to-end trade processing while strengthening risk control, governance and process resiliency across Group Trade Finance.

Service Excellence & Client Experience

• Drive Group-wide service enhancement initiatives to improve client experience and service delivery standards
• Partner with country teams to identify customer pain points and implement service improvements across the trade journey
• Enhance turnaround times, responsiveness, and consistency of service delivery while promoting best practices across markets
• Analyze client feedback, service performance metrics, industry trends, and market practices to identify opportunities to enhance the client experience, strengthen client engagement, and differentiate the Group's Trade Finance offering.

Trade Projects & Strategic Initiatives

• Lead and coordinate trade finance business initiatives focused on process enhancement, governance, operating model improvements, and service excellence across the Group.
• Review and optimize client onboarding, documentation, servicing, and exception management processes.
• Partner with country and functional stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that improve productivity, strengthen controls, and support business growth.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration, change management, and adoption of new processes and ways of working.
• Monitor implementation progress, benefits realization, and key risks, while promoting best practice sharing and continuous improvement across countries.·

Preferred Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Trade Finance, Transaction Banking, Product Management, Operations, Business Transformation, or Process Excellence.
• Strong knowledge of trade finance products, trade operations, and transaction banking workflows.
• Experience managing regional or multi-country initiatives.
• Proven track record in process re-engineering, service enhancement, and transformation delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across businesses, functions, and countries.
• Experience in Documentary Trade and/or Supply Chain Finance transformation initiatives will be a strong advantage
