We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Volkswagen Service Technician to join our service team. As a VW Service Technician at Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our customers' vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on Volkswagen (VW) vehicles
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle problems accurately
Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors regarding vehicle repairs
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service bay
Qualifications:
2-4 years experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Volkswagen or Audi vehicles (will consider other experience as well)
ASE certification or equivalent technical training is a plus
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
