Role Overview

Marketing Services is at an inflection point as AI reshapes how organizations acquire, retain and grow customer relationships. The Vice President, Marketing Services will lead the AI vision, strategy, and execution agenda across the Marketing Services portfolio, identifying and scaling AI-powered capabilities, products, and platforms that create differentiated customer value, improve operational effectiveness and new business growth opportunities.
This leader will partner across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and enterprise AI and tech teams to harness Mastercard’s unique data assets, predictive analytics, generative AI, and agentic capabilities. The role will be responsible for identifying where AI can accelerate both customer-facing innovation and internal operational scale, ensuring Marketing Services remain at the forefront of AI-powered marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Define Marketing Services AI Vision
• Establish and own the long-term AI strategy and roadmap for Marketing Services
• Develop a clear point of view on how AI will reshape marketing, personalization, customer engagement, and commerce experiences
• Identifying emerging technology trends and translate them into differentiated business opportunities

Drive AI-Powered Growth
• Identify and scale new opportunities where AI can create competitive advantage and customer value
• Partner across product teams to embed AI capabilities into existing and future offerings
• Help shape the next generation of AI-powered marketing capabilities spanning audience intelligence, campaign intelligence, optimization, measurement, and decisioning
• Evaluate build, buy, and partner opportunities that accelerate innovation and growth

Accelerate Operational Scale and Effectiveness
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, scalability, and consistency of Marketing Services delivery through AI-enabled workflows and automation
• Drive the adoption of reusable AI capabilities that can be leveraged across teams, products, and delivery functions
• Partner with business leaders to improve speed-to-insight, speed-to-execution, and overall organizational effectiveness

Lead Cross-Functional Execution
• Align Product, Engineering, Data Science, and business stakeholders around a common AI agenda
• Drive prioritization and execution of strategic AI initiatives across Marketing Services portfolio
• Build partnerships across Mastercard organizations to accelerate innovation and scale

Champion Responsible AI
• Ensure capabilities are developed and deployed in a manner consistent to Mastercard’s standards for trust, accountability, privacy, and security
• Promote responsible innovation while balancing business impact, customer value, and operational excellence

The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Establish a clear AI strategy that strengthens Marketing Services’ competitive differentiation
• Expand the portfolio of AI-powered capabilities, offerings, and business opportunities across the portfolio
• Create measurable business growth opportunities enabled by AI
• Accelerate the integration of Mastercard’s data, analytics, and AI assets into customer-facing and internal capabilities
• Improve operational effectiveness, scalability, and delivery efficiency through AI-enabled workflows and automation
