Join us as a Vice President, Corporate Financing & Risk Solutions

• Take ownership of the origination, structuring, and execution of interest rate risk management solutions for large French corporate clients

• You’ll work closely with Coverage Bankers, Debt Capital Markets originators, Rates Trading, Structuring, and Balance Sheet Management teams to deliver tailored hedging solutions and strategic risk management advice to clients.

• The role combines relationship management, transaction execution, commercial origination and balance sheet optimisation to support the continued growth of the franchise.

What you’ll do

In this important role, you’ll act as a key contact for French corporate clients regarding interest rate risk management solutions. We’ll look to you to build sustainable revenue streams that expand the scope and profitability of the franchise. This includes developing new business, identifying new opportunities with existing clients, and cross-selling across NatWest Markets, where appropriate.

You’ll be:

• Originating and executing interest rate derivative transactions, including swaps, options, cross-currency and structured hedging solutions

• Developing and maintaining relationships with Treasury, Finance and Front Office stakeholders across large French corporate clients

• Delivering market intelligence, risk management ideas and strategic hedging recommendations that help clients achieve their financial objectives

• Working closely with Coverage Bankers, DCM originators, traders and structurers to deliver coordinated and client-focused hedging solutions

• Executing customised and flexible risk management solutions for clients which optimise balance sheet usage

• Making sure activities operate within approved risk appetite, delegated authorities, market and credit risk limits and governance frameworks

The skills you'll need

We're looking for a commercially driven Corporate Rates Sales professional with a proven ability to build trusted client relationships and identify new business opportunities within the French corporate market. To succeed in this role, you'll bring at least five years' experience in Corporate Rates Sales, covering French corporate clients. You'll also be a native French speaker with fluent English and hold a master’s degree or equivalent qualification.

You’ll also bring:

• Strong knowledge of corporate interest rate hedging products, including interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, interest rate options and liquidity solutions

• Established relationships with Treasury or Front Office teams across large French corporates

• A strong commercial mindset, with a proven track record of identifying, originating and developing client opportunities

• Knowledge of debt capital markets transactions and financing-related hedging strategies

• A strong understanding of risk management frameworks, conduct standards and governance requirements relating to derivatives activities

• The ability to balance client opportunities with market, credit, capital and balance sheet considerations

• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Trading, Risk, Legal, Credit and Balance Sheet Management teams to support transaction execution and delivery
