As a Vendor Relationship Risk Manager Senior within PNC's Supply Chair organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.

This leadership role resides within Enterprise Third Party Management (ETPM), a key function within PNC's Supply Chain organization, and leads a team of vendor risk professionals responsible for supporting a portfolio of third-party engagements primarily aligned to the Technology, Human Resources, and Finance organizations. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders, technology partners, and supplier representatives, providing effective challenge, guidance, and risk management expertise throughout the third-party lifecycle. Strong knowledge of technology products and services, including cloud-based solutions, software, technology outsourcing, and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, is highly preferred. Experience working with global and offshore technology service providers is beneficial. The role requires exceptional organizational and leadership skills, the ability to manage competing priorities with a strong sense of urgency, and demonstrated success influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including senior and executive leadership. Experience with contract management, supplier negotiations, and third-party governance practices is beneficial. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative people leader who develops talent, drives accountability and continuous improvement, supports high-priority initiatives, and provides governance, challenge, escalation, and strategic oversight for complex third-party risk decisions and supplier engagements.

Job Description

• Identifies and manages risk associated with a products or services that are essential to the bank with the goal of mitigating risk, improving vendor performance, and achieving compliance with applicable regulations. Reviews risk assessment findings, drive remediation, for more complex vendors and leads team of vendor risk employees.
• Regularly interfaces with critical vendors and organizational staff, and company executives to interpret needs and provide accurate specifications and risk mitigation solutions for complex services. Consistently identifies opportunities and leads projects to enhance and increase efficiencies in the program, where applicable. Manages risk associated with a product or service with the goal of improving vendor and overall program performance and compliance with applicable regulations. Works closely with management and staff challenge and advance vendor risk management.
• Reviews and assigns work-sets around new and existing contract assignments for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Consults with vendors, internal colleagues and management, and company executives to remediate risks identified in assessment process. Serves as a point of escalation, and recommends, initiates and/or drives solutions.
• Responsible for the creation and presentation of training documentation, risk specialist process documents, reports and required documents for management review, and to develop and improve direct staff and broader group performance.
