The Vended Ancillary Applications Analyst II performs a variety of duties related to information technology and software applications. Responsibilities include assisting with design, development, system configuration, implementation, continuous improvement, and support of information systems for the organization. The Analyst II must be comfortable working with multiple teams and key customers to ensure appropriate development and implementation of application functionality.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

1. Delivers high-quality work within established timeframes. Able to participate in several small and medium-scale projects. 

2. Works closely with the user community to fully understand business requirements. Facilitate communications within IS and with vendor(s) on options to address the business requirements Remain current on vendor offerings and changing technologies. 

3. Completes assigned projects and meets deadlines with moderate supervision from the Team Leader and/or manager and begins to develop project management skills. 

4. Project assignments are usually small to medium Facilitates activities to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met Manages and tracks milestone schedules and deliverables Reports on the status of projects. 

5. Assist others within the team and the IS department when needed, even if it is not a direct requirement for the applications to support this role.  

6. Acts as a liaison between IT, customers, and/or vendors Participates in meetings with all operational areas using the software application.  

7. Prepares and maintains documentation, including analysis, design, programming, standard procedures, and user guides. 

8. Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department and/or customer. 

9. Provides on-call/after-hours support as required 

10. Mentor's junior colleagues in the development of application knowledge    

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: 

High School diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

 

Experience: 

  • 1-3 years of related work experience required 

  • 1-3 years of experience in Electronic Health Record and/or integrated ancillary systems implementation and support.  

  • Familiarity with Windows desktop and server operating systems, services and remote connectivity tools. 

  • Experience with computer systems required, including Microsoft online / Office applications. 

  • Proficiency in vendor supported healthcare systems/applications; serves as a resource for team members and cross-IT application teams.  

Preferred Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite of products  

  • Familiarity with Smartsheets 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clinical, business, and technical resources as well as all levels of leadership across all entities 

  • Experience with health systems vendor management; support initiation, troubleshooting and accountability for issue resolution 

  • Proactive life-cycle management of systems for OS/DB/Desktop compliance to meet support agreements 

  • Process and workflow improvement mindset; adaptable to cross-IT policies and processes 

  • Flexibility to address issues during standard or outside normal business hours with a balanced total work week

  • Ability to follow precedents and procedures. May set priorities and organize work within general guidelines.  Seeks assistance when confronted wth difficult and/or unpredictable situations.  Work progress is monitored by the supervisor/manager.

  • Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families, and external customers. 

Knowledge 

  • Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures, and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations. 

Team Work 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in small teams to improve the operations of the immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members.   

Customer Service 

  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving.  Ability to remain calm in stressful situations. 

Social/Environmental Requirements 

  • Work requires close attention to the task for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day to not compromise the work. 

  • Work is varied every day, and the employee needs to be adaptable to respond to these changes and use independent judgment and manage priorities.  

  • No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. 

 

 

Pay Range:

$90,000.00 USD - $114,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
