Salary: $130-150k
We are seeking a Vehicle Dynamics CAE Engineer to take ownership of performance, working with physical and virtual testing, providing direction to the various chassis areas including Ride, Handling, NVH, Loads Cascade ,Vehicle control engineers, CAE team, and other Vehicle Integration Attribute areas to assure an excellent vehicle ride quality, a responsive and controllable robot platform that provides confidence and trust to the occupants.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain high fidelity multibody vehicle dynamics models using MSC Adams
• Collaborate closely with the design team to help our supplier partners improve their ability to deliver components for ride and handling
• Able to generate Suspension, Full Vehicle and PWT loads as per process
• Develop key vehicle dynamics metrics and targets using physical tests and CAE data
• Support performance balancing with the other Vehicle Integration Attributes and software controls development
• Support active safety performance development and validation to be on par with automotive industry
• Correlate simulation results with measurements of the vehicle or subsystems, and continually explore ways to increase simulation accuracy.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in vehicle dynamics performance development and Simulation
• Experience in vehicle dynamics CAE development tools: MSC Adams, CarMaker and Matlab/Simulink
• Masters degree in mechanical engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of Dynamics CAE to Test Correlation
• Strong analytical skills
Salary Range
• $130,000 - 150,000
• The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
