We're seeking a VDC QA/QC Specialist to serve as a key quality champion within our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team. In this role, you'll use your expertise in mechanical and plumbing systems, BIM coordination, and constructability. You will ensure our models, drawings, and fabrication documents are accurate, coordinated, and ready for installation.

 

As an independent technical reviewer, you'll provide critical oversight that helps identify and resolve issues before construction begins, reducing risk, improving project outcomes, and supporting operational excellence. Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful delivery of high-profile projects while helping drive continuous improvement across our VDC processes.

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of coordinated mechanical and plumbing BIM models, drawings, and fabrication documentation.

  • Validate that deliverables meet contract requirements, project specifications, approved submittals, manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes, and company standards.

  • Evaluate constructability and identify potential installation challenges before work reaches the field.

  • Collaborate with VDC Coordinators, Project Managers, VDC leadership, and trade partners to communicate findings and drive resolution of issues.

  • Provide clear, actionable feedback that improves model quality, coordination, and project execution.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of VDC standards, workflows, and best practices.

  • Help ensure projects are delivered with the highest levels of quality, accuracy, and coordination.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Experience in VDC, BIM coordination, mechanical construction, plumbing construction, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems and construction practices.

  • Experience reviewing Revit models and coordinated construction drawings.

  • Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and manufacturer documentation.

  • Understanding of coordination, constructability, and field installation requirements.

  • Ability to identify coordination conflicts, incomplete systems, and potential installation challenges.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and trade partners.

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$5,550.30 - $9,075.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
