We are currently seeking a VAT Specialist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a driven individual to enhance their skills and network at PwC, collaborating with experienced Accounting and Finance experts across the region.

What will be your responsibilities?

● Management of VAT process with the focus on preparation and submission of VAT returns, Intrastat reports, European Sales / Purchase lists and other VAT related reports
● Processing of VAT Payments and monitoring of VAT Refunds
● Preparing internal VAT analyses, reports and reconciliations
● Participation in VAT audits, active communication and resolution of audit queries
● Regular update of documentation
● Participation on different projects related to changes of VAT legislation or registration
● Responsibility for the comprehensive processing of all accounting transactions for our PwC foreign office
● Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
● Communicate with clients, superiors, and other working team members in Slovak and English
● Performing additional tasks and duties

Personality requirements and skills

● At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
● Graduate degree in finance, accounting or economics is an advantage
● Advanced Excel skills
● Good communication skills in English, oral and written, with the ability to draft and deliver clear messages to clients
● Strong intellectual, organizational & technical skills with a desire to seek new learning opportunities to stay technical and relevant
● Ability to work as part of a team, whether with your colleagues or the practice with the ability to share and collaborate, creating a positive team spirit

Additional information

Salary: starting from 1 900 € (The stated salary represents the minimum for this position. Final compensation is determined individually based on your experience, expertise, seniority, and overall profile. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus linked to individual results and the company’s success.)
