** 3 Hours per Day, Monday, Wednesday and Friday **As part of creating a positive and welcoming experience for clients, visitors and co-workers, Cleaning Team Members are key to ensuring a safe, tidy and aesthetically pleasing environment. We believe a well-cared for environment also brings dignity and value to everyone’s shared experience of our centre. Cleaning Team Members are therefore highly valued and important part of the overall team. Key responsibilities: Bring your ‘pride of place’ and attention to detail to general cleaning activities, providing a welcoming experience for clients, visitors and co-workers. Using well-honed organisational skills, re-stock cleaning supplies and consumables. Manage rubbish removal by emptying bins and ensuring recycling is ready for collection. Maintain a routine for more occasional ‘deeper cleaning’ tasks, instructing co-workers on how to prepare and assist with access (eg remove items from desks, floor area or windows). Qualifications and skills (desired/required): Experience in cleaning highly regarded, or a keen desire to learn A good understanding of the safe and effective use of cleaning products and equipment Good communication skills Background check requirements: Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation. There may be times where this role has potential contact with children, therefore may require a Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People Check As this role involves access to equipment and property, sometimes after office/centre hours, it may require a Police Check Personal information collected will be handled per our privacy and confidentiality policies. The selection process will be fair ensuring the best person for the role and our team is selected. More broadly, volunteers in this role will have access to further training opportunities and exposure to the workings of a large not-for-profit organisation.
