Purpose of the role

To determine, negotiate and agree internal quality procedures, service standards and specification to improve performance and quality directing objectives. 

Accountabilities

• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in quality assurance Services.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate quality assurance processes.
• Development and governance of internal quality assurance procedures, standards and specifications, and act as a catalyst for change, mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
• Development of reports and presentations on quality assurance performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in quality assurance processes and provide feedback and coaching for colleagues on these highlighted areas.
• Execution of service quality assessments to monitor the quality objectives set by the bank, and ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve quality assurance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Determination of risk based on outcome of QA reviews, flagging risks that are outside of tolerance.

Join us as a Transaction Monitoring Correspondent Banking Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at AVP level, where you will independently assess complex, high-risk Correspondent Banking investigations to determine whether financial crime risks have been appropriately identified, investigated, evidenced and concluded. You will apply expert judgement to challenge investigation outcomes, identify material control weaknesses and emerging risk themes, oversee remediation and appeals, and provide clear insight to senior stakeholders. As a senior subject matter expert, you will also support quality calibration, colleague accreditation, coaching and continuous improvement across the Transaction Monitoring Quality Assurance framework.

To be successful as a Transaction Monitoring Correspondent Banking Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, you should have:

• Extensive experience in Correspondent Banking Transaction Monitoring investigations, quality assurance, quality control or a closely related financial crime role, with the ability to assess complex cross-border activity independently.
• In-depth knowledge of money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions risks relevant to Correspondent Banking, including nested relationships, payment transparency, high-risk jurisdictions, Requests for Information and suspicious activity reporting.
• Proven ability to evaluate whether investigations are complete, evidence-based and aligned with applicable policies, standards, procedures and regulatory expectations, and to apply sound judgement when determining the materiality of errors.
• Strong experience identifying, articulating and escalating control weaknesses, systemic issues and emerging risk themes, supported by clear root-cause analysis and practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience providing constructive challenge and presenting clear, risk-based insight to operational and senior stakeholders.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience acting as a senior subject matter expert, including supporting calibration, accreditation, coaching and the development of less experienced quality analysts.
• Experience managing complex appeals, remediation activity and quality outcomes through to timely and sustainable closure.
• Skilled in analysing quality data and management information to identify trends, assess control performance and communicate the impact of findings.
• Experience contributing to audit remediation, regulatory commitments, control enhancement or change and transformation initiatives.
• A recognised financial crime qualification, such as ICA or ACAMS, or equivalent relevant experience.
