Trading Documentation and Counterparty Onboarding Manager – London

We are seeking a Trading Documentation and Counterparty Onboarding Manager to join our team in London. This individual will play a key role in coordinating the full lifecycle of trading documentation and counterparty onboarding across Mercer’s Direct Investment Unit.

We will rely on you to:

The Trading Documentation and Counterparty Onboarding Manager is responsible for ensuring the full onboarding and lifecycle process for trading counterparties is managed in a disciplined, timely and well-controlled way. A key part of this is maintaining a clear pipeline, coordinating internal stakeholders and external counterparties, and keeping legal, credit, AML/KYC and operational workstreams aligned.

For this role specifically, we would be looking for an individual who can:

• Own and maintain the trading document pipeline tracker, ensuring it remains current, accurate and appropriately prioritised

• Chair weekly stakeholder pipeline calls, drive decisions and ensure actions are captured and closed in a timely manner

• Support monthly meetings by preparing slides, coordinating updates and following through on actions

• Partner with stakeholders to ensure prioritisation reflects business needs and onboarding sequencing

• Track progression through each stage of the onboarding process and provide clear visibility of status, dependencies and blockers

• Lead onboarding kick-off communications with counterparties and coordinate early-stage requirements, including AML/KYC and credit queries

• Run document collection, AML/KYC review and credit review stages of the counterparty onboarding process, including onboarding platforms

• Own the offboarding process with bank counterparties, ensuring actions are completed accurately and in line with governance requirements

What you need to have:

• A wealth of experience in trading documentation, counterparty onboarding, legal intake or lifecycle management within financial services or investment management

• Proven project management capability with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and competing priorities

• Sound working knowledge of AML/KYC, credit, legal documentation and onboarding controls

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work across Legal, Trading, Operations, client-facing teams and external counterparties

• High attention to detail, sound judgment and a structured approach to issue escalation and resolution

• Comfort with workflow platforms, onboarding systems and internal tracking and reporting tools
